An Argiope spider in my garden sits at the center of his rain soaked web. Argiope are an intimidating looking large spider but are pretty non aggressive and for the most part harmless. I look forward to seeing them in late summer and I have a total of three that I know of in my garden this year.

White spider with a cool web design. This guy is less then 0.5 an inch long. Had to crop to show more detail. Shot Hand-held.

Chapel Trail from the boardwalk. Fog did not let up until after 9:00 AM. We first visited the eagle nest and watched from 8:00 to 9:00 AM. Then we spent an hour at Chapel Trail nature Preserve, returning once more to the eagle nest at about 9:00.

Spider Web covered in Dew

1 x yn460II with home made soft-box

The sun was setting and was lighting up this beautiful web as i was sitting under the pier.

Should have used the macro lens, but the patterning here was interesting.

I was mostly trying to catch the lovely web.

This little spider had set up camp in our backyard.

Taken for a collaboration. Topic, Children's books. Our book, Charlotte's Web.

View On White

Photo taken on 5 April 2010, at Wyanbene campground, Deua National Park, near Braidwood, NSW, Australia

This was taken while leading a workshop. We were sad that the locations we had for the workshop were all covered in fog/mist. But sometimes, you never know what'll come your way and this was a pleasant surprise - a spider's web with the fog's mist in it.

Tech Info: Single shot using Nikon D300s with 70-300mm @260mm, f/5.6, ISO 1600 for 1/80 sec

PS: Next couple of days would be busy catching up with all your streams.

What a lovely surprise I had to see the rainbow colours captured in this lovely early morning dew covered web
