In the fall of 2008 "wayfinding" signs were put up at various points in the Quad Cities to point visitors to various points of interest. The city signs on top are color-coded: Davenport is green, Bettendorf is yellow, Rock Island is red, and Moline and East Moline are blue. This sign is near Modern Woodmen Park on River Drive at Western Avenue.

Here is an example of a wayfinding sign in Clinton's Lyons District showing destinations within the districts. The signs are color-coded based on district: the Lyons District is red, the Mill Creek District is orange, the Downtown District is green, the Riverfront District is turquoise, and the Lincolnway District is blue. In-district wayfinding signage in Dubuque is similar.
