Wave breaking at Greenly Beach South Australia

Got down low to capture this one.

Friday 7th full sun but cold wind – walk along Agadir beach

We booked a taxi to take us to Souss Massa at 8am tomorrow.

Walked left along the beach, tested the water, very cold!

Army unit blew 'whistls stopping us walking further. (heavily guarded palace beyond)

Returned for rest, read and lunch.

Caught Petit Train to Bird Valley and walked the 5km back to the hotel.

More rest, read before supper.

They build a big pool in the center of Rotterdam with a wave machine so that surfers can ride the waves and beginner surfers can practice

The water at ocean can often be memorizing and this time was no different. This particular day was not exactly the middle of summer but it was certainly much warmer than the weather of late.

My entry in the No Bley contest for this year's Summer Joust. Big ups to Soccerkid, Littlejohn, and the 9 judges for hosting!

Abelforth sails across the Frothy Sea onboard the Wave Breaker, swift and sturdy. He seeks an audience with The King in the Castle, with troubling news from the border forts: skeletal armies have been mobilizing in greater numbers, bold enough even to make attacks on the Crown's keeps. Abelforth has brought a bodyguard of Royal Marines to accompany him.

Off the bow, a great wave rises, threatening to throw the crew of the little craft overboard!

P.S. unfortunately, I am without my white sheet, which I usually use to take photos :( All well!

Copacabana waves... One of the most, if not the most famous beach patterns...

I wasn't quite sure how to name this picture... it is also a synthesis of Rio in one picture

I decided to zoom in on the detail a bit more than usual on my trip to Iceland. It didn't really work with the icebergs themselves, but I liked the effect with the waves (and the waves are awesome on Jokulsarlon beach) - I love the movement of the waves with a slightly slow shutter speed (0.3 sec). I think it looks a bit like an oil painting!

Continuing my ongoing "Wave Art" series.

A wave at China Walls from a big swell last weekend.

Today(25/04/12) evening Bare Island wave at La Perouse, Sydney, Australia.

Peace be with you and keep smiling.

Atlantic waves crash into sandy Namib Desert shores south of Walvis Bay, Namibia.

This isn't a current photo (it was taken the last time I was here in May of 2009) but whenever I think of aqua I think of the amazingly gorgeous color of the waves in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. They go from a dark blue at the horizon to a brilliant turquoise near shore. This is on the Pacific side where the waves are treacherous but mesmerizing.

The storms are producing 20 foot waves. This morning it wasn't raining, so I was able to go on the beach. The sight was pretty awesome. Nicer large.

I've been busy and slow to catch up with your photostreams. Hope to visit tomorrow and during the weekend.
