Time is gonna take my mind
and carry it far away where I can fly
The depth of life will dim my temptation to live for you
If I were to be alone silence would rock my tears
'cause it's all about love and I know better
How life is a waving feather

It’s just a photographic experiment to freeze the shape of a wave.

Huge waves pounded the beach today as Hurricane Zeta churned by to the East.

I sit and watch the ocean, glist'ning waves
As they race one another to the shore.
They look like a group of Indian braves
On white ponies risen from the sea's floor.
They chase each other across the water,
Rising and falling.

This one is for Jess, who is 16 years old today! Happy Birthday Jess, hope you have an awesome day and lots of lovely presents!!
Barney's response to being asked to "roll over" and "wave"! He is, as I've said many times before VERY enthusiastic when it comes to tricks (especially if there's a toy or treat in it for him, of course!). I took this while we were playing in the garden together one afternoon this week, I taken his ball hostage and was getting him to do some tricks before chucking for him. He'd tried leaping up in the air, and begging and when I asked for roll over threw himself on the floor at my feet, I then asked for a "wave" but instead of jumping up and waving, he stayed on his back and waved from there! He likes putting tricks together sometimes :) As soon as he heard the camera click he leaped up - the shutter noise is almost like a clicker for him, he knows once he's posed he gets a treat or toy of some sort :)
Oh, on a separate topic intirely, I'd like to introduce the newest 4-legged member of the family! He's an 8 week old Syrian hamster :) I'd been thinking I'd love a small furry for a little while now (never had one growing up as we had cats and didn't think it would be the best combination!). I've being doing lots of reading on which (out of mice, rats and hamsters) would be best...
I eventually decided a hamster would be perfect and today went to the pet shop and bought this little one! No name as yet but I've got a few in mind, I'm thinking maybe naming him after a hobbit from Lord of the Rings :) (Although obviously if anyone on here can think of anything, feel free to make suggestions!). Anyway, I know the pic below isn't great quality but obviously didn't want to bother him too much while he's settling into his new home. He seems quite happy already, made himself a nice little bed and eaten some food, can't wait to get to know the little creature!
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
