Though the storm surge peaked a couple of days ago here, there were some nice ones still hitting the shore - if one were patient enough. It was bloody cold, though (-12C with high winds) and it was a challenge to keep fingers from freezing, even with gloves on.
I sit and watch the ocean, glist'ning waves
As they race one another to the shore.
They look like a group of Indian braves
On white ponies risen from the sea's floor.
They chase each other across the water,
Rising and falling.
