"One does not begin to make a garden until he wants a garden. To want a garden is to be interested in plants, in the winds and rains, in birds and insects, in the warm-smelling earth."

There are many pleasures of having a Virginia Creeper plant. The birds use it as their nesting place and eat the blue colored fruit. They often perch outside my window on its sturdy stems.

I especially love to study the plant in all the seasons, whether covered with ice, snow or a brief rain shower.

Does Union Pacific, or any other big railroad for that matter, wash their locomotives? I’ve seen it only done a couple of times. UP GE AC4400CW No. 6704 gets a bath after having an engine change at the railroad’s South Morrill Locomotive Shop on September 15, 2017.

We just had to take a gondola ride, no matter that it was quite expensive. We got to see a very different side to the city by doing so.

Wandering about yesterday, I came across this fisherman washing his nets.

The kitten has to be fed on the desk, otherwise Yashka will take all the food from him. Yashka willingly and delicately plays with the kitten, but when it comes to food, he becomes greedy and even growls at Simkha if he approaches Yashka’s bowl.

The Olde Washing Log at Earlswood Lakes - no ceremony here , just hop on and wash away !!

A bacon bap time and a few snaps while we were here . I did get a shot of at least ten Canadian Geese flying in head on from the top lake , but they were coming in low and got terribly mixed up in the background - so I was a bit disappointed that shot was not so good . However , working only with the 18-135 lens , the log bathroom was a better prospect with so many makes of birds having a wash .

Behind my house there is a pond and this visitor arrived very cautious looking around and then hind his heat. Nice can take some pictures, and I was very attentive to his movements thinking about when he decide come to me !

This is actually the Grotto Geyser. It has a look to me that resembles the inside of a washing machine. The water thrashes around inside of it.

This is in Venice one of the many windows where the locals wash there laundry. I was lucky that I was able to get the girl hanging the stuff out. I dont think she was too impressed with me for taking the picture.

On to the next holiday tour in September :-)

Teignmouth is a seaside town, fishing port and civil parish in the English county of Devon. It is situated on the north bank of the estuary mouth of the River Teign, about 12 miles south of Exeter in Devon, UK.

Nice weather for October in the UK, his washing will soon be dry.

Dragonflies seem to have a habit of alighting and settling on some very unattractive perches. This female common darter dragonfly, sympetrum striolatum, seemed to find our washing line irresistible.
