There used to be a beach where i am standing... big swells and wind over recent weeks has washed the beach away :(
It looks like he's minding the drying and watching the world go by at the same time. Seen in Vernazza, one of the Cinque Terre villages in Italy.
With official reports of rainfall today reaching 8 1/2", it's no wonder a section of Union Pacific's Clyman sub was washed out just south of Watertown. Before shooting a frame, I contacted the Union Pacific through the blue tag on the nearby crossing which has the emergency contact and crossing number. I was shocked to find out that this had not been reported to the company, but a photo was on Milwaukee's FOX6 television weather report of the washout. Some people...
The blue emergency contact tags on all railroad crossings are there just for this kind of thing, please don't ignore this when something like this or any other emergency occurs, call the number so the railroad can take the necessary action, someones life may depend on it.

Searles Sea Tours run unique and exciting seal safaris and coastal trips from the beach at Hunstanton. The business dates back to 1929 when Geoffrey Searle built a speedboat and took holiday makers on trips which proved very popular. Over the years various boats have been used including after the war (when trips ceased to be run) two amphibious landing crafts obtain from the War Department. It wasn't until 2001 that The Wash Monster (“Wiley”) was added to the fleet. 2013 saw Wiley get a companion in the form of “Wizzy”, The Wash Monster II. These vehicles known as LARCV's (Lighter Amphibious Resupply Cargo vessels) were originally designed for use in Vietnam by the American Marines and can travel up to 13mph on sand and 8 knots in water. The name came about because of the sharks head (just noticeable under the ramp) painted on the craft by the US Marines during the conflict in the Far East.

Managed to get out today and go to a few locations iv been really wanting to visit. this is one of them. it is a slip ramp from the yacht club in Brighton.
I was lucky to get out. a few nights ago we had lighting at 2am, and I woke up to try capture some of the storm, but as I was walking back from the car after getting my tripod, I actually dropped my tripod right on the ball head and completely stuffed it... about time though. was needing a new one. so I brought a vanguard ball head, and it is so much better than my last one. cost me $170 but very much worth it. would recommend.

This is one of the (evil) thoughts that has been running through my mind lately as the end of my 365 approaches. After my project I am afraid that I will be floating directionless in an abyss of procrastination (sounds bleak, I know). I actually shot this before my trip to Iceland when I was feeling exactly like this; I was depressed but hopeful that something about Iceland would pull me out of this funk. This is a funk that I think will always be with me in some way or another and I can either lie down and let it take over or let it motivate me to keep creating.
The sober Neoclassical main wing from 1766 stands in washed, yellow brick. The architect is not known but may have been Philip de Lange.
Originally, the red hip roof also covered the three-bay median risalits, found on both sides of the main wing, which received their triangular pediment in connection with a major renovation in 1703.

Capitol Reef National Park, Utah. This dirt road leads into the Grand Wash, a narrow steep-walled canyon. Holes can be seen at the mouth of Grand Wash at a base of the layer of yellowish-gray rock. These mark the abandoned Oyler Uranium Mine, opened in 1901 when uranium was used in some patent medicines.

went to the beach for a sunrise.not much happening so i dragged this log from the bush to make a better comp.looking forward to a great sunrise again,been a while for me.
A large amount of dark seaweed washed up at a Bournda Beach, the result of a big sea along the east coast of NSW. The beach also streaked with dark lines of ash from bushfires that is being washed into the sea. This national park was opened in the last couple of days but the one to the south is partially closed as a fire nearby not completely extinguished, despite quite a deal of rain.
