Canada goose was repeatedly submerging himself in Burnaby Lake this morning. I guess he was washing up for breakfast.
Taken at dusk in Mill Creek Dittisham Devon. I found capturing this photograph in very low light a real challenge and the final image took a lot of post processing.
Porthnanven. The only time we had visited previously was in 2008. That time my Dad was quite frail and we took him for what was to be his last trip to Cornwall; he loved the old tin mines in particular. He couldn't cope with the boulders at Porthnanven so we only spent a short time there. This time we were keen to explore the beach a bit more fully.
This was taken in the river before it reaches the beach. It's amazing how far the boulders have been washed upstream. I'm not sure I'd want to be there in a winter storm!
Whilst visiting the nature reserve at Rye Harbour this week I had a stroll along the shore just as the tide was coming in. This was part of the damage caused by Storm Doris. Literally thousands of starfish washed up on Talacre beach :-(.
Too bad it's a 2 hour drive to get to this old truck. Next time I go, I'll have a tripod and lens assortment with me!
The first shot is SOOP (straight out of Photomatix:-) I usually go pretty mild on the tonemapping and colors, really just trying to get the dynamic range from photomatix...
The middle shot is the Photomatix + my custom B/W clarity plugin and the on the far right is another custom called clarity2.
If you use Topaz Adjust 4 and want these plugins let me know.
I set my MP3 music player to random and here's what came up: www.youtube.com/watch?v=qU8B0Ai4mvY
