Walking along the Hudson and this flip flop and tea can washed up exactly as seen here. Thought it was cool so I shot away.
Followed a tutorial to create this pen and wash effect from an image I took some time go. Your thoughts and comments welcome. Thanks for viewing.

That Chocolate Ganache pot - contents eaten, now washed-up and complete with its lid. -both resting on a metal top that came on .a cylindrical whisky container.
All very simply lit with a desklight.

"Wash her with a little Palmolive." he said.
"huh? As in , soap and water?" I was incredulous. I've seen the whole cat washing thing in the interweb, but really thought it was some sort of torture-for-humor kind of thing.
So, here she is: Mimi's first bath. I actually think she sort of likes it now. She always seems to be purring when she gets toweled off.
I made the most of the beautiful weather and went out early again this morning in the hope of seeing one of these, in then end i was very lucky to see two :) They were in exactly the same spot as last year
Placed the tube on the shore break and during the 10 sec. exposure, 3 small waves moved it as recorded.
Camera was standing on my Gorillapod at aprox. 10 cm above the water ;)
GND8 + Sunset Cokin filters were used to compensate the lighting due to the long exposure.

I went down to the lake tonight to catch the sunset. The cold wind was nasty but it was good to get out. I have been busy with a few projects and haven't shot much lately.

I took a walk around a lake today as I wanted to look for interesting butterflies. Butterflies seem to be rather rare at the moment but I saw a few, among them this silver-washed fritillary. It's a kind of butterfly I don't find very often here but the woodlands and meadows surrounding the lake seem to be ideal for them. They are quite big and due to their colour easy to spot.
070/100 - 100 Possibilities Project - I grew up during the 70s and 80s when the transition moved from cotton to synthetics. One of results was a big push on wash and wear clothes. No more ironing. Yotsuba is trying out her clothes to see if they are wash and wear.

The Whittlesey Washes south of the River Nene near Peterborough is a large area of open land, surrounded by embankments, which act as a flood storage reservoir when high tides and high river levels coincide. More than 35,000,000 cubic metres of water can be stored on the area, then released back into the river Nene as the tide recedes.
