Her home was a magical castle, each room holding a different experience that are all so precious in her lifetime. Sometimes, she finds herself walking into a room without any thoughts. Other times, she actually plans to visit certain rooms she is so familiar with, yet there are times when she forgets where certain rooms are located or gets lost in one room with the intention of being in another.
This evening, she was looking for a particular room. This was a room she didn't visit for so many years and was yearning for it. It was the one room where she could be herself completely. A room that held all her desires, dreams and peace of mind. After hours and hours of searching, she thought she could never find it but there was a ringing in her head and a light whispering call singing her name. With much focus she managed to follow the voice until she reached the top most room of the castle.
With a happy heart she pushed the door open and was welcomed with warmth, light and a sweet scent in the air. She floated around, bathing in the darkness that was her solitude, embracing her heart that was always shining from within for others but perhaps it was time that her heart will shine for herself too for a change.
"It is your turn."
This is her time.
P.S. Shout out to the lovely SweetBun, Lya! She gave me an inspiration Image and told me to go crazy trusting me to add my own touch to the artwork. I have never been so inspired in a while to do a solo shot but here I am!

I was out at Battery Park in New Castle shooting at sunrise. Reaching my car, about to go home, I saw this beautiful scene. Right away I knew exactly how I wanted to edit and present the image. Needless to say I am happy with the result.
I was so lucky to get this lifer owl with a couple. It was extremely difficult one hour hiking in the wet slippery raining day. No pain, no gain as people said. But Mother nature gave me a little break when I found the owls, it stopped raining. I got a few minutes to photograph these beautiful owls before I lost sun light. Thanks so much for your comments, favorite and views.
Special thanks: Rick

To-day the hills put off their haze
And stand so green and clear
That every peak remote and strange
Is intimate and near.

This was the last shot I got this morning while taking advantage of working from home. I met another photographer and it was really nice talking to a person sharing the same interest at this time (while keeping a safe distance of course...)
It was hard to decide whether to laugh or feel sad for this fish while capturing this shot... poor guy's world was flipped upside down- literally and figuratively...
Can you relate? Tell me how?

I was surprised to see this colorful red flat bark beetle out today since we've had temperatures well below freezing already, but I guess it found some protected place to hide then - helped out by anti-freeze produced in its body to survive the cold winter. These neat beetles are very flat when seen from the side and can squeeze into very tight cracks in a tree trunk. They live under loose bark on trees and eat small mites and spiders.
I was fortunate to have an encounter with a couple of Firecrests yesterday morning only 5 mins from home. I managed to get a handful of shots of this tricky but delightful subject. They were never still for long flitting amongst the gloomy Yew and Holly trees looking for insects to feed on.
Today was nice and sunny, but the other day it was wet, rainy and windy! That didn't deter me from the Botanical Garden. And neither was this pretty Marmalade Hoverfly afraid of the wet. It's going for Mullein's pollen...
And look at those beautiful Mullein flower parts!
I was on my way home from my Antelope Valley outing to see the poppies, but I still wanted one more thing - a sea of Desert Dandelions. They're a real wildflower favorite of mine, a subtle pale yellow, and they could be seen along the highway I was traveling. Of course, I wanted something a tad more picturesque, like maybe a Joshua Tree surrounded by the Desert Dandy. The Joshuas can also be seen along this highway of the Mojave Desert. They are special, since they only occur between 400 and 1,800 m (1,300 and 5,900 ft) elevation, mostly within the boundary of the Mojave. What luck - a spot to pull off the busy highway, and there was my tree in the field of Desert Dandies. The snow-capped San Gabriels in the background were a big bonus, a great way to finish off a successful day trip. If you're wondering about the several blooms in the tree, they're over the hill - typically giant white kinda pineapple shaped blooms. One other note - if you watch the Rose Parade or Rose Bowl in Pasadena on New Years Day and the TV camera cuts to the nearby mountains, these are the ones, from the other side.
Celandine was of nature. It was her source of power and spirit and she would defend it with all she could.
One in the early days of 2020, when CoronaVirus was just a local rumour. The group of young filmmakers were on-set at dawn and kept shooting against sunlight.
This was the first image I shot, at this new favorite place. The composition is similar to my previous post; however the lighting is very different. Shot during sunset, I was able to record a wide range in contrast of light. A neutral density grad is necessary to keep both the sky and canyon details as correctly exposed as possible. Adjusting white & color balance in post-processing keeps tones looking very close to the way my eyes witnessed the scene.
Polly was a lutina budgerigar that arrived to our family together with Pino the torquise one) in 2017. Throughout the years we have lost some of our budgerigars for different reasons. We have had 6 budgies in total and now only 2 are remaining. Last night Polly took her last breath,
As you can see in the picture Pino wanted to mate with her and for this reason we put a nest for them to start a family. Unfortunately Polly was too sick to procreate but instead she found a place to spend her last weeks of life. She was happy, fed by Pino and had everything she needed in her 5 years of life...
Polly rest well wherever your soul is ....you were a true beautiful yellow lutina bird that gave so much to our whole family and to both Pino and Lisa, that are both calling and missing you today!
I'm very sad today but will soon get back to comment and fave all your photos....
This was made a few days before the image in my previous post. The bird in an area where owls are nesting. I believe this is the male, who is usually watching the nest tree from a distance.
This is another early morning low light shot (12,800 ISO, f5.6, 1/4 seconds). I continue to be amazed at the lighting conditions our current cameras allow us to work in.

It was icy cold in the morning and the Tuolumne River was partially frozen...but beside this a wonderful and too warm day for November - Winter was late - good for us - a week later it started snowing ant the Tioga Pass has been closed for the next 5-6 month..

This image was taken New Years Day still officially this year. A stunning winter wonderland display of hoar frost. The type of frost that clings to the branches giving it a Narnia appearance. It's very beautiful and I wish it would appear more often, especially right now looking out of the window at yet another white sky/rainy day.
Too much indulgence the night before meant that I missed the red sky part of the sunrise which I still regret. It sounds a cliche but I don't really know where 2021 went! I know we were all desperate for it to arrive and to banish 2020 into history. I think it was an easier year as far as the virus was concerned, although for me personally not really in other ways. Lets hope 2022 is even easier!!
And thanks again for everyones friendship and support x
This castle was commissioned by George C Boldt in 1900 the owner of the Landmark Waldorf Astoria in New York, the project was abandoned 4 years later due to the death of his wife he never set foot in it again.
The castle sits on one of more than 1800 islands in the St Laurence River region between Canada and the USA.
I was lucky that my friend Claudia took me for a boat ride I never knew in which country I was in at any given time.

This was growing in a dried riverbed that most likely only sees water during the the highest spring runoffs. There were many, many different wildflowers in this area but interestingly, this was the only specimen of Paintbrush I saw. It looked pretty healthy growing out of the silt and river rocks.

ÖBB engine 2043 076 was spotted on October 28th 2005 while hauling a regional train from Innsbruck Hbf to Lienz in Terme di Brennero. Although the train travels from one Austrian town to another Austrian town, it has to run through Italy to get there. The picture was taken just a few kilometers south of the Austrian/Italian border...
I was fortunate to find this young male moose feeding on the new growth willows by the lake shore. I was able to get reasonably close to him with my kayak without spooking him. Considering it was fairly early in the year, he was in good condition and his antlers were developing
It was good to do a coastal walk after visiting the Priory. I liked this bird art it was so well done. Holy Island or is not a big island but there are quite a few houses these people will all be conscious of the tide times as the island gets cuts of when the tide comes in.
I was going to skip this week as I'm busy preparing to go away...but it was such a nice theme I couldn't resist a quick try with this tulip petal from the Spring. HMM everyone!
This was more of an experiment than anything. I am only a hobby photographer, my real job is an Engineer for the railroad. The wind was blowing these like crazy and I was seeing if I could freeze the motion and get a somewhat sharp usable image.

A much photographed derelict building in the Wairarapa. I stopped to take an image but it was quite rushed as I was standing alongside a very busy road and it wasn't a pleasant spot to linger at that time! Here's the snap though and I've processed it to look soft and grainy to add some extra atmosphere hopefully!

This summer was a blast.🔥💯 I enjoyed every single minute of it. Lots of memories are in my photo album, it will be fun to "re-live" them once.😍
It was somewhat worse late the night before. I put in a path last year as in the last year it's got much worse. I know why but can't comment here.
Usually, I have the lawn like a bowling green by May and I wanted some planting done but it's just still too wet. It's far better today as I post this, yet still too wet to mow and more rain in the forecast.
I was inspired to create these images by the so-called "conspiracy theorists". (German Schwurbler) On various Telegram channels, theories circulate that insects are being bred to secretly vaccinate people. 😂

She was waiting for a shooting for an professinal photographer.
She was sitting on a stone near a water fall and the light was braking so beautiful on her face. I have had the honour to be at the photographers side during her shooting. I saw his pictures- perfect!
I always try to find this special thing in a person, the individuality. So it's really a question to all: Is a posing picture better? Without a blemish? Isn't the charisma that we all try to catch, or is it perfection?

I was back out in our meadow this morning. No dew today but I found this lonely Lady on a small, dried weed. It was cool out and no wind. She was quite still for me to set-up and take around 30 shots for focus stacking @ 4x magnification.
