Last night we were on tornado watch in my area. We were lucky enough not to have one touch down and instead were effected by wind and rain, vicious mosquitoes, and technicolor skies. Despite being on crutches, I couldn't resist going outside just for a little while to capture this eerie, bizarre light.

Apparently there are mines that you can fall in or breathe poisonous gasses from at Cougar Mountain, so keep out!
For about a month a motorcycle was parking here. I wondered if the cyclist just decided it was a big enough place for his bike. I found the answer. I took a little glee reading this note.

Who knew they quarried with explosives? We camped just around the bend which meant we had a rather noisy alarm clock.

It's not included on this particular warning, but there is another that warns against doing anything to the electrical system, which I think was the second thing we did.
In many of the trains throughout Japan (I saw this one in Tokyo) they have
cute little mascots warning you of the danger of the train doors. I think
this is language because even if you don't speak Japanese it's pretty clear
to see what you should, or in this case should not, be doing when entering
the train. The picture also has furigana over the kanji so that younger
readers can still understand it.
