Shepherds' delight.
Red sky in the morning,
Sailors' warning."
According to the folk wisdom it was going to rain. And it did, slightly.
Update:
Flickr heeft het probleem van illegaal en gratis downloaden verholpen, maar een gewaarschuwd mens telt voor twee!!!
Flickr has solved the problem of illegal and free downloading, but one has to be alerted!!
Waarschuwing

Warning!!!
Yesterday I noticed that there are several photo-sharing websites, who have ALL my photos from my Flickr account for free download . I never have given permission for that!
It seems I'm not the only one! If you change your settings, the photos disappear on those sites.

A dense fog warning was the forecast for the next morning. So I set my alarm clock to wake up early around 5am and headed down to this spot near the River. A walkway with some light poles that stretch for quite awhile. The Missouri River is just to the right side of the frame where there is a good size drop-off. It was eerily quiet and spooky to say the least.

This, too, is from our road trip across country, from Washington state to Kentucky, covering 10 states! This was from our first leg in Oregon, somewhere between Pendleton and La Grande, Oregon. La Grande is actually just past the mountains.
This is what we had to drive through, realizing we had a winter storm warning ahead of us! This was the scariest portion of our trip, because we knew what was ahead of us, with a very real possibility of snow and ice! Scary! But even with some snow and ice, we got through it! (We did have chains, if we had needed them.) Once we hit the summit, we were in the clear!
I just love these dark clouds (now that it's over, I can say that! ha!), and with the sun shining through in the midst, I thought it was just beautiful! There is definitely light at the end of the tunnel! ha! Hope you all enjoy!

Yellow warning of thunderstorms:
Some places are likely to see severe thunderstorms on Monday - but there is significant uncertainty in location and timing.
Breakfast on the beach this morning, (Beer, Devon,UK).
This is not meant to be a joke. I have seen it myself...
A lady was carrying two wonderful icecream cones when she was attacked by a seagull.
She dropped one of the ice cream cones and the seagull went after it and swallowed the whole thing in one go - icecream and cone.
It was awe inspiring. Although I am much bigger than a seagull I could not have done this ;-)
rule number one:
wherever you are in life be aware of your surroundings.
rule number two:
use common sense if it doesn't feel right it is wrong.
rule numer three:
stay safe.
i worked so many jobs that demanded that you always be aware of your surroundings for your safety and your wellbeing.
I fought in the jungle.
I drove a truck in New York City.
I worked in a factory.
I drove a car long hard miles.
I made television commercials (technical not actor).
I worked in a photography studio.
I ran a customer service department.
When I say be aware I mean, mentally, emotionally ( even and steady) clear headed and leery.
Please in everything you do stay safe.
amen

Thought I'd get back to some nature shots with this eagle/raven encounter.
I've seen and photographed tons of eagles take off. They always tuck their close 'fisted' claws up and into their body on takeoff. This one seemed to be making a statement to the ravens... follow me and the weaponry is ready! I have a number of shots before it tucked them up.
