Don't steal gas in Texas or else this big cop will take your drivers license away. And if you give him any lip, he'll probably taze your ass.
Gotta love Texas.
I've been wanting to do a selective color shot for a while, so the Ohio Foothills challenge for the month "Red" gave me the opportunity to do it.
When I went to Scioto Trail State Park, I originally had planned to photograph one of the rusty red painted bridges reflecting in the water. However, Caldwell Lake was still mostly frozen. My search for red was not in vain, as I noticed this red sign. The red didn't really stand out very well in the color version since the sign was in the shade. I think selective color helped tremendously.
This sign, warning that my hotel contains chemicals, cancer causing, wasn't on the front of the building, but on one random entrance in the back of the building...I'd think if you have to post such a sign wouldn't it be smart to require it to be posted at least at the main entrance?
I've never tried the slow shutter speed play with light shiz. Today I did. This is me on the couch at 20 seconds.

Three cheers for getting your foot caught in an exposed screw! woo!
This was taken of a truckload of 4 or 5 20-foot long bright orange things. Assumedly with giant screws of death inside.

Shot with my "Do It Yourself" Gakkenflex TLR Camera. Fuji Superia 200.
The Gakkenflex 35mm TLR is a plastic kit camera that is included in issue #25 of "Otona no kagaku magazine", published by Gakken. The name "Gakkenflex" is molded into the front of the camera.
Documentation included with the kit indicates that the fixed f-stop is f/11 and the single shutter speed is 1/125. The camera uses standard 35mm film cassettes and exposes a 24mm x 36mm frame in portrait orientation. The lens is a single element plastic meniscus lens. Focusing of the taking and viewing lenses is synchronized by external gears, in the same way as the geared lens Ricohflex.

This stunt was performed by a trained professional so don't try this at home. :)
No one was up there on the ladder, not even a dummy; only 'Old Chuck' and a pair of Levi's VSOP (Very Special Old Pair). The rest of the jeans was rolled up and placed on top of the ladder...

I found this warning sign at the polar bear area at the local zoo.
Translation: "Caution - The polar bears may throw toys"
Seems like they weren't in the mood for this, when I was there.

I was a little shocked when I saw this warning sign on private property in Petaluma, California.
Is it even safe to drive by there?
Michigan's Sleepy Bear Dunes are an amazing specticle if you have never seen them. This is the sign warning visitors to be careful when climing the sand dune. This dune stretches 450ft down to lake Michigan.
Found this gem on the side of a utility pole while walking down Capitol Landing Road.

This must be some strong coffee if advertised as such because you shouldn't expect anything less than freshly made coffee in Wellington's cafes.
