“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?"
"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to."
"I don't much care where –"
"Then it doesn't matter which way you go.”
― Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland
“The biggest adventure you can ever take is to live the life of your dreams.”
― Oprah Winfrey
PS - I was so excited to play in the puddles that I didn't realize I'd already used the "adventure awaits" phrase. Oh well, I could use some more adventures in my life.
Wanted to share with you, my sweet cat Bebe lying on my tredmill, I think he's missing the point of a tredmill, lol =) I miss him so much, wish he was still here!

"OI want you to stay
'Til I'm in the grave
'Til I rot away, dead and buried
'Til I'm in the casket you carry
If you go, I'm going too, uh
'Cause it was always you, alright
And if I'm turning blue, please don't save me
Nothing left to lose without my baby
Birds of a feather, we should stick together, I know
I said I'd never think I wasn't better alone
Can't change the weather, might not be forever
But if it's forever, it's even better"

I approached the staff at the hotel where I was staying and told them that I wanted to photograph the sand dunes of the Thar desert at sunrise and sunset. They assigned a very special young man to help me complete the task.
We were up the following morning and he and one of the other staff showed me to a 4 wheel vehicle and we were off. We rode for awhile until the dunes came into sight. "Okay I thought we are going to plow over the dunes in this vehicle. What fun!"
Instead we got out of the vehicle and walked to a camel with a sled like device behind it. They showed how to climb on board and this is how I shot the images that will follow. One has to have a steady hand and a very padded "bottom"to endure the abuse from the wooden device. A sled made the tracks that you saw in the previous photo.
I wanted to take some photographs of the sunset because I haven't done that recently. When I was up on the board walk I noticed this lady wearing a hat that I wanted to photograph in front of the sun. I got up my courage and asked her and she was kind enough to accept. I hope she logs on to see it.
This was taken at 8am and by @pm the condensation had gone as had the wanted sign along with the picture.
Smile on Saturday, the topic is Title Wanted, so help me out, please

I wanted to create a soft abstract image of a rose. Using a slow shutter speed enabled me to use movement to create the soft folds. It reminds me of a watercolor painting. Each transparent layer adds to the overall depth.
Wanted to catch glimpse and photo opportunity with this bird for a while and well worth the wait. Fantastic markings and fascinating to watch if you are lucky enough.
Taken at Caerlaverock early Oct 2015

That's not the real reason why the mountain has such name, (Pink Mountain) but I can say that yesterday it has really deserved it. The Massif, as seen from more than 150km, with a 400mm, at the sunset, when the peaks are covered with snow, takes a peculiar pink color while a sea of fog was covering the whole Padanian lowland. Some birds are crossing the frame, who can see them?
Since I really wanted to stay true to my focal length of (35mm) this photo is a bit of a challenge. The angle is anything but simple. After all, no one should have to fall out of the window. lol;)
On Google Maps you can see the location of the building. I had the opportunity to stand on a small barrier block, however this reduces my composition and selection range a lot. When I now look at the exposure time, I am very surprised at my steady hand. Anyway I post it anyway. I find the building just beautiful. The current tenant is the German Parliamentary Society.

I just want to let you know that the bees did a good job and a few of the flowers I previously photographed now turned into teeny-weeny apples! So it's looking good for my story about our home made apple crumble to continue.
I find it fascinating to follow the transformation of the flower into the fruit...the anthers are still visible on top of the forming apple. The hairy surface of the once flower now turns more and more smooth. Let's see how it continues...
Check my album 'Apple crumble in the making - the full story' to follow the transformation.
