A very fine walnut tree stands in the grounds of an imposing 11th century priory in Binham, Norfolk, UK.

Unfortunately this walnut tree had to give way. It was quite old, and as many people told me before, it was sick already. So I don't feel so bad about it....

Walnut trees Highway 46 east of Wasco.

Same trees as a few pictures ago, four hours later.

that's now a bush. But at least this one made it partially through, can't say the same for another. Thanks alot, cold snap last year.

This is one of three studies I made of the light and shadows on this young walnut tree in my Westwood, KS back yard. I took the photo in early July, 2008.

I can't believe the number of little (make that incredibly tiny) critters there are scuttling around on and under that tree!

Another one from last September. I keep finding pictures I forgot about in my old files!

So much better when viewed large & on black ♥

Not the prettiest web, and it kills the branch that it has encased.

V naší ulici je krásná ořechová alej. V tuhle chvíli je celá prořezávaná, než přijde zima. Stromy teď vypadají jako holátka :/

there is a wonderful walnut alley in our street, nowadays it's being pruned before the winter come. How poor do the trees look like...

How gorgeous these flowers grow, vibrant blooms of red that glow, petals soft and textured too with velvet stems and a cotton wool hue.

The POD swing at Lytes Cary Manor, loved by children and (if only we could get a chance.....adults).

Lottie clearly likes this one! Katherine is behind gentling swinging it. I like the texture of the Walnut branches that add some lovely contrast to the scene.
