I have been wanting for a long time to photograph a new-to-me waterfall. This one was 112 miles to the west of Rochester, not far from the PA border. It was a long drive for me. I think it was worth it.
The walnut shells have a high calorific value and are an excellent fuel. The reasons for this are, on the one hand, the densely grown material structure and, on the other hand, the oil it contains.
In addition, the nut shells contain valuable nutrients that your plants love. Give your housepot love and add some crushed peel to the soil. 😎👍
This is an image of a female Walnut Orbweb Spider - Nuctenea umbratica. One of my favourite spiders to find in our garden. We seen to have loads here in Tadcaster, North Yorkshire, UK.
They hide away during daylight hours in cracks and crevices, emerging at night to catch moths and other nocturnal flying insects. This image is the result of a 15 image in-camera focus stack.

This is one of our walnut trees, the one visible in my view of the Thames River. It is loaded with nuts though the leaves are thinning.

What does a highway in Dallas have to do with Denton history? Quite a bit. Our history will always be tied in with Dallas and Fort Worth. We once called ourselves "The Top of the Golden Triangle". I asked someone from those two cities once what it was like to be the bottom of the Golden Triangle. He answered that at least it was on a sound base. The American highway system is for all rights and purposes the "Eighth Wonder of the World,." It's just too common place for us to see it clearly. The fact that it links Denton to Dallas is a whole cultural and economic chapter by itself.
