An Adventure Wellington Meet Up Group outing. Tim, a born-and-bred Wellingtonian showed a group of ten of us around and through the hidden lanes and some un-noticed parts of the city. We had a fabulous time seeing shops, buildings, alleys; learning some history and getting to know fellow group members. We had a fabulous lunch and finished with beers at the Southern Cross.

Exiting the cathedral and heading to the plaza as we make our way back to the bus station.

Ihad hardly noticed the paint ont he floor till I increased the saturation.

Beyond the cones and platic curtain some filming was going on.

High tide at Knott End on Sea - (11:30hrs) on Friday 13 January 2017

This is the second time this month that I have seen 'abandoned' shoes in Wellington. However, these were very close to where people were filming so maybe they were connected with that in some way.

The Cliffe Norton Hotel offered great views as soon as you left the doorstep.

A different route today when we took our dog, Ruby out for a walk.... We headed to the end of Hackensall Road and through the woods via the footpath behind the houses on the left of the road. Some lovely bluebells were spotted as well as a number of fallen trees.

Tomato plant growth. These are still small and unripe but are growing steadily as each new day arrives.

Knott End-on-Sea is a village in Lancashire, England, on the southern side of Morecambe Bay, across the Wyre estuary from Fleetwood.

We took the funicular, lift up to the top with my mum and Little Man Travels.

A bitterly cold, but sunny day led us to hop on the bus from the city centre and to explore a small part of Lark Lane, near Sefton Park.

Future visits are definitely a "must".

Beautiful scenery and sky from the coastal promenade at Albir, Costa Blanca, Spain

One of our favourite corners and just across the road from our chosen hotel for 2023.

But we're open to more options around Tapas Alley, so hit me up with ideas and names of places, please!

I've no idea what they are like inside, but I don't think it's my style of living.

I thinks there's a rather angry ant there too!

The tigridia flower is short lived, each often blooming for only one day, but often several flowers will bloom from the same stalk. Usually they are dormant during the winter dry-season

Not had a taste of ouzo for many years now. So, this first one had to be added with one of my photos taken in February 2015 - one of the coldest winters' experienced when snow fell in the coastal resorts of Cyprus and in Nicosia.

This was 2 days later when we were staying overnight in the Pafos area.

A creation combining one of my original destination photographs and still life.

The remains of a mud-&-stone monastery founded in the 7th century & rebuilt in the 10th century.

We were the only people inside other than the ticket guy and his friend.

PART ALTA, TARRAGONA: The historic Part Alta is a maze of narrow, atmospheric streets and squares lined with busy tapas bars, al fresco cafes, and traditional Spanish and Catalan restaurants.
