On the edge of the old town of Cambrils past the bus station on the left of the riverbed heading inland from the seafront.
Always a cause for discussion - Manchester or Salford?
Yes, they are two totally separate cities - and don't you forget it!
The former Mark Addy Pub, now derelict can be seen on the opposite bank of the River Irwell with the domed roof, just before the stone built bridge.
Views from the Knott End Ferry jetty over to Fleetwood, along the seashore footpath by The Esplanade and across Pilling Sands to Morecambe Bay.
This photo is from the Esplanade looking over the sands towards Pilling and Morecambe Bay.
Surrounded by mountains and small islands, it adds so much perspective than just a view of open sea.

Revisiting holiday places from my childhood.
My grandparents took me to stay with my aunt and her family in Bromborough Village every summer for a few days in the 1960s and we always took a day out to New Brighton.
An all day travel ticket took us under the River Mersey to wander around New Brighton and along the promenade to the beach and the lighthouse by the fort.
This really was an amazing surprise for us both to find the old "Crown Square" of Manchester Crown Court, Magistrates Court and the area behind the Manchester Evening News offices had suddenly sprouted bars and restaurants. Unthinkable during our time there, especially after being the Jury Officer during the IRA bombing trial....

Inside the buzzing Medina of Marrakech with a labyrinth of winding streets of souks (covered alleyways of shops) and in the more civilised and very French influenced city district of Gueliz and a magnificent railway station.
Zoom in and you can see Heysham nuclear power station to the right and one of the ferries heading to, or from the Isle of Man :-)
Our first taste of the old town streets of Marmaris as we wandered up to the Castle above the Marina.

UPDATE 14/11/2022 - All change!
easyJet switched our flights from Liverpool to Manchester. We're having none of that, so we've changed our destination.
The clues are in the album.

With the obligatory Michelin Man figure, of course!
Photo taken many years ago near Akrotiri when we lived in the Republic of Cyprus.
Children from the local school on Pilling Lane were having a great time in the mud by Pilling Sands along the coastal footpath today as we took a bicycle ride from Knott End on Sea to the Golden Ball Pub via Pilling Lane, the coastal pathway and Fluke Hall Lane, then back again.
A grand day out - a little over 7 miles cycle ride. We treated ourselves to a cool, refreshing half of lager at the half way stage :-)

An Adventure Wellington Meet Up Group outing. Tim, a born-and-bred Wellingtonian showed a group of ten of us around and through the hidden lanes and some un-noticed parts of the city. We had a fabulous time seeing shops, buildings, alleys; learning some history and getting to know fellow group members. We had a fabulous lunch and finished with beers at the Southern Cross.
