August 2023 edit, after viewing on several devices it was just too dark I think. Boosted exposure by a small amount and re-cropped to 7:5 (Affinity Photo).

It's funny to see how the sand turns from a pile of grains lying under our feet, turns into forms that begin to surround and block the light for us ... Obviously, a person continues this game that captured many in childhood ... So who plays with whom? Sand or the one who smiles looking at this sandbox?

Nubble Lighthouse Long Exposure

Nubble Lighthouse will always have a special place in my heart. I met my bride on a Saturday. I took her here on a Sunday and we sat not far from the spot this picture was taken. We spent a long time talking and getting to know each other. In a few weeks we were engaged. In about a year we were married. Best "capture" I ever made ;-).
We've been back there many times.
This specific shot was a long exposure with an ND Filter (I don't recall which one) using a tripod.
I hope to get down that way again before the year is through.

The cityscape captured from across the bay in the early morning hours. As the absence of vibrant colors adds a timeless and introspective atmosphere the cloudy skies lend a touch of drama. A solitary blue light beacons as a guiding point with its gentle radiance piercing through the grayscale cityscape like a lighthouse in the night. It stands as a symbol of hope, navigation, and inspiration.

This object, currently passing nearby Earth, was last seen by the Neanderthals 50,000 years ago. It was discovered in March 2022 by the Zwicky Transient Facility. It's orbit extends to the Oort Cloud at the farthest reaches of the Solar System.
