I'm so glad I made sure to get to see this. Even though I only had 30 minutes to get in, climb up and back down the 138 steps. Definitely worth it.
Hopefully, someday I'll get back to explore again at a slower pace and see the rest of the gallery.
Do you have a favorite architect? Do you keep a list of their buildings and projects?
By keeping a list I'm always ready when traveling to make sure I set aside time to photograph the places I want. Even if it means being in a bit of a hurry. It's better than not having seen it at all.
A reworking of a picture I posted first a couple of weeks ago - wider crop and brighter details of the pilot.
This Spitfire was originally built as a Mk XVI, but during restoration was converted to a Mk IX by virtue of an engine change and raising of the rear fuselage.
I wanted to use some Ilford Ortho+ 120 film, to see how Ortho+ handles tonal gradation and what acutance I might expect. I rated the film at iso 60, used a tripod, and developed the film in Ilfosol3 diluted 1:14 for 7 minutes at 20°C. Every frame produced a nice negative. Rolleiflex K8T3 with Ilford Ortho+, and Ilfosol3 1:14 7 mins at 20°C
It had stormed heavily the night before and the waves were amazing. I spent the better part of an hour patiently waiting for the perfect shot while my toddler was sleeping. Well worth it.
