While we were in Amsterdam, we took a day trip to Belgium. This looked like a postcard to me. I thought it was just lovely.

Each child sculpture in this fountain was fashioned after a child in the Kansas City area. This is my favorite fountain of the hundreds in the city.

I took this back in October 2022 during a business trip to Singapore (still can't believe I was actually there). I used 4-5 photos for all of the laser lights. Then I used an under exposed photo to balance the highlights.

Back-to-school season always brings up so many emotions. It’s that time of the year again. Back to school marks the changing of another season–the end of summer days and the beginning of chillier months. It also presents a whole new reality for students, their parents, supporters, and educators. New classes, new routines, and new challenges mean that returning to school is a right a pas-sage. It can feel like a really big deal! www.psychologytoday.com

Merged image of two long exposures of the SpaceX Falcon Heavy launch on July 27th, 2023. If you look closely you can see where the two boosters separated from the core vehicle as it continued on its flight path. You also see two streaks of light where the boosters fired their engines to slow their descent and a streak of light near the horizon as the engines fired again as they both landed safely back at Cape Canaveral, Florida. The image was taken from Vero Beach which is 63 miles (101 kilometers) south of the launch site. This was the third flight for both boosters.

This is the center piece of one of my favorite ghost towns. During the three years it was used, Cook Bank was three stories tall and housed the local Post Office in the basement. The inside had marble staircases and all the modern conveniences, like electric lights and indoor plumbing. A financial crisis at the time caused banks across the country to go bankrupt. Construction began in the spring of 1907 in Rhyolite, NV and by 1910 the Cook Bank was closed.
