People can be so evil sometimes. There is a constant battle in my mind about my job. On one hand, I work for a company that (usually) genuinely focuses on customer needs and has made customer service a priority. When I visit other business, I am often surprised at how bad the customer service is. Mostly because I know what it's like to provide that legendary customer service that is an integral part of my job.
On the other hand, I realize that we are single handedly creating the demanding customer. Do not misunderstand, I like most of my customers. I strive to make them happy. I am cheerful, efficient, and very friendly. I will happily remake your drink and I don't care if it was your mistake or mine, it's no big deal. What is a big deal is the attitude some people have towards those of us in customer service. Some people won't say hello, or make eye contact, or get off of their phone, or acknowledge me as a human being- they just bark their order at me. They are usually the same people who receive incorrect drinks, not because I am being spiteful, but because they wouldn't speak to me long enough for me to clarify their order.
Seriously people....it's just coffee.
Don't make me get out the Demanding Customer Voodoo Doll, because I will!

TOTW-Tiny words. Oodles of tiny words.
And day 95/365/year2.
Elizabeth is having trouble with the local police - like so many street involved people. She has court in the morning and anticipates wearing handcuffs again...
...she asked me to take her picture, but wouldn't show her face - and she insisted on posing next to the "safe needle disposal site" box.
WORD UP!!!! - wave your hands in the air like you don't care

“The hardcore drug addicts that I treat, are, without exception, people who have had extraordinarily difficult lives. The commonality is childhood abuse. These people all enter life under extremely adverse circumstances. Not only did they not get what they need for healthy development; they actually got negative circumstances of neglect. I don’t have a single female patient in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver who wasn’t sexually abused, for example, as were many of the men, or abused, neglected and abandoned serially, over and over again. That’s what sets up the brain biology of addiction. In other words, the addiction is related both psychologically, in terms of emotional pain relief, and neurobiological development to early adversity.” (Gabor Maté)

okay i am sick of being asked in my mailbox what i look like...here we go ... maybe you know a forensic scientist out there that can reconstruct my face...but you would have a better chance of viewing me on my myspace if you can find it...tons of photos of me with really expensive limited edition nikes on dancing at diplo after hours and various other teenage dance parties ...
Good lord! Look at my hair! And that bad 80s mustache! This was when I was a freshman in college and came back to my high school for homecoming. Fall of 1988. The young lady in the photo is just a friend. Time has been really good to her. She has barely changed.
We recently re-connected via Facebook and she posted this. I'd never seen this photo before last week. What a shocker! :-)
Your pretty ladies around the world
Got a weird thing to show you
So tell all the boys and girls
Tell your brother, your sister and your mamma too
were about to go down
And you know just what to do
Wave your hands in the air like you dont care
Gilde by the people as they start to look and stare
Do your dance, do your dance, do your dance quick mamma
Come on baby tell me whats the word

Have a great day everyone!
Mumbai born and bred Scherezade Shroff tentatively stepped the world of modeling at 16. Nine years later not only is she a veteran model but a graduate from the Government Law College! Nurtured by Boman Irani she fondly remembers her first assignment for New Port.
"As a child, I have always wanted to model. As soon as I finished schooling and got rid of braces, I met Boman Irani to get my portfolio shot. It was not a long wait. I signed on with an agency and work began to pour in. The first campaign I shot for was for New Port and I remember it being a lot of fun! The only problem was that it was the first time I had ever worn colored contact lenses and my eyes kept watering throughout the shoot. So there was a lot of drama," she grins.
Praised for a peaches-and-cream complexion, luscious locks and open smile, she has modelled for Nokia, Del Monte, Lipton Green Tea, Volkswagen, Clinic All Clear, LG, Dabur Honey, Maruti, Compaq Computers, Bausch and Lomb, Reliance, Metro Shoes and World Gold Council among other brands. Currently the brand ambassador of Casio timepieces in India, with a prolific TVC for Nokia under her belt, Scherezade was also chosen to act in a song alongside Abhishek Bachchan in the movie Bluffmaster.
At present she has put her law degree on hold and aims to diversify her career into anchoring television shows based on travel, food, fashion, formula 1 or sports! A stunner on the catwalk, Scherezade opts for more casual garb when she is not in front of the arc lights and lives in "jeans and flip flops and considers herself an accessories addict!" Her advice to aspiring fashionistas: "invest in statement pieces be it a bag, jewellery or shoes!"
