Before their final league match of the 2011-12 season I took a team photo of the BHC Ladies 2nds.
After I'd shot that they wanted to do a fun shot with them all in so decided to all jump in the air. Despite shooting a burst the timing of this first attempt wasn't perfect although I thought worth posting as there are some with some great body shapes in their jump.
This was a very successful season for the team. During the match they were about to play the five goals took their total for the season to 99 goals. The target at the seasons start was 50! Sadly they only finished second in their league so missed out on promotion.

I took a walk along the river to Stevington with the idea of taking some photos of the mill with snow lying on the ground. The nearer I got the thicker the fog and mist became, and the snowfall had not been as heavy here. Usually visible from the passing road I had to make my way across the field before it came into view.
Even here as I approached from the field the mill was only visible through the mist, while the closer tree was much clearer. Yesterday's post showed them a few hundred yards back along the path, but I wondered if it would work better with the clearer tree on the left instead of the mist obscured mill.
The image has been processed in black and white to help bring out the contrast in an image that had little colour anyway.

West Ham United 2-0 Leicester (20/12/14)
After the final whistle and presentation of the trophy for the nPower Championship Playoff Final at Wembley between West Ham and Blackpool the West Ham players did a lap of honour in front of their fans.
Eventually captain Kevin Nolan and the trophy made it around to where our seats were.

When looking at one of my previous shots, Record Breaker, I liked the lead in lines of the barrier. Here I wanted to repeat that look, but also show the cavernous interior of St Pancras Station, along with it's lower level shopping area.
I also wanted movement in the people to make them less defined and show them hurrying about. In amongst these people are a young lady chatting to an older man (on the left hand side) and a lady on the right leaning against a pillar. These three will be seen again tomorrow from a different angle.
To get the one second exposure I set the 10 second timer and balanced by camera carefully on the barrier. There was a long drop below and the barrier was only about an inch wide and with no strap on the camera my heart was in my mouth a bit.

After the success of my team poster I decided to put together a poster for each of the players which could be printed up in A4 size for them. This was the one I made for Jake.
The poster template was set up first in Photoshop with all of the lettering which then just needed changing for each player. After that it was a case of dropping the best five pictures of each player in to make the poster.

That's that for this particular view, I wonder how many legendary players have come out of their changing room to see this before heading down the steps to the tunnel then entering the field of play over the years?
I'm sure they'll find a place for it at the Olympic Stadium.
Just like my previous post this one is a re-shoot of an earlier shot from May of fans streaming to the new Wembley Stadium during the London 2012 Olympic Games.
This was the first event that I attended during the Olympics. Tickets were ordered well in advance of the event so we had no idea who we would be watching. As it turned out Senegal v Uruguay was followed by Team GB v UAE so it was great.
