Here is a shot from the nPower Championship playoff semi final second leg between West Ham and Cardiff City. It is the Boleyn Ground, better known to many as Upton Park taken from my seat AA167.

At the far left we see the Trevor Brooking stand and at the far right the Bobby Moore stand. The smaller stand opposite is the East stand, known as the 'Chicken Run' due to the construction of it's old predecessor.

This was the view from our seats at Wembley Stadium for the double header of Senegal v Uruguay followed by Team GB v UAE at the London 2012 Olympics. The seats were just a few rows from the back of the top tier (Block 543, row 17 seats 89-92). They were good value though - two matches for £70 in total for 4 people.

This was a panorama made up of 9 portrait shots stitched together in PT Gui. I had previously shot a pano of Wembley at the playoff final in May which can be seen here, although that was from almost pitchside.

On the way to the Hammers vs Tigers match. West Ham United beat Hull City 3-0

West Ham 4 - 1 Southampton on Sat 20 October 2012. My first live appearance in three years & first time to Upton Park. A packed house. Didn't realise till the day of the match that the friends who offered the free ticket had bought a hospitality package! Prawn Sandwich Brigade, for one afternoon only.

It was a game of two halves with all the goals coming after the break. We missed the first goal, 58 seconds into the second-half and nearly missed the second. Great atmosphere and great score line. After a smothering summer of Olympic sport, I had started questioning my love for La Joga Bonita.

But not after yesterday afternoon. It felt amazing to be back. Like I was renewing vows with an old love.

Cannae wait to be attend another match!

Similar to yesterday's image this was taken from much further up one of the two ramps leading up to the new Wembley Stadium, where it tapers in. Here the crowds of West Ham and Blackpool fans stream along Olympic Way (known to fans as Wembley Way) from Wembley Park tube station in to the nPower Championship playoff final.

Notwithstanding the fact that I appear to be having some colourspace issues (see here for more details) and that in certain browsers, such as Firefox and Chrome, my images look awful, here is my next shot from the Olympic archery competition at Lord's cricket ground on the Monday that we attended during the London 2012 Games.

When we turned up for the afternoon session the seats on the right of our entrance ended at 12 and then began again on the left at 23. Nothing strange about that, except for our tickets were for seats 19 and 20 and therefore didn't actually exist! Because of this we were 'upgraded' to the disabled area at the front of the stand where we could choose any free seat to sit on. We selected our spot right next door to the range and in clear view of the shooting line.

This shot is of the major British hope for a medal, Larry Godfrey who was seeded 4th, just after winning his 1/32 elimination match against Md Emdadul Haque from Bangladesh, who was seeded 61st. In all the events I attended at the London 2012 Olympics this was the noisiest and best atmosphere that I experienced when a British athlete was competing. Larry Godfrey won the match convincingly with a 6-0 scoreline.

As we slowly moved towards Wembley Park tube station after beating Blackpool in the nPower Championship playoff final, we were brought to a stop under the Bobby Moore bridge for the crowds on the platforms to clear.

When we were allowed to move I took this shot of the crowds of West Ham fans climbing the steps to the station on their way home, or to celebrate.

Here is my son Henry inside the new Wembley Stadium ready for the West Ham against Blackpool nPower Championship playoff final.

In keeping with the club anthem he had a 'gun' that blows bubbles and was letting them off into the Wembley air.
