Notwithstanding the fact that I appear to be having some colourspace issues (see here for more details) and that in certain browsers, such as Firefox and Chrome, my images look awful, here is my next shot from the Olympic archery competition at Lord's cricket ground on the Monday that we attended during the London 2012 Games.

When we turned up for the afternoon session the seats on the right of our entrance ended at 12 and then began again on the left at 23. Nothing strange about that, except for our tickets were for seats 19 and 20 and therefore didn't actually exist! Because of this we were 'upgraded' to the disabled area at the front of the stand where we could choose any free seat to sit on. We selected our spot right next door to the range and in clear view of the shooting line.

This shot is of the major British hope for a medal, Larry Godfrey who was seeded 4th, just after winning his 1/32 elimination match against Md Emdadul Haque from Bangladesh, who was seeded 61st. In all the events I attended at the London 2012 Olympics this was the noisiest and best atmosphere that I experienced when a British athlete was competing. Larry Godfrey won the match convincingly with a 6-0 scoreline.

Here is my son Henry inside the new Wembley Stadium ready for the West Ham against Blackpool nPower Championship playoff final.

In keeping with the club anthem he had a 'gun' that blows bubbles and was letting them off into the Wembley air.

This is the practice ground set up for the competitors at Lord's cricket ground during the London 2012 Olympic Games.

This image was taken in the break between the morning and afternoon sessions as we ate our lunch in the Warner Stand. The Grandstand can be seen on the left and on the right the temporary North Stand. At the far end the upper tier of the Compton Stand can just be seen. In between is the practice range for the archers. It was set up parallel to the actual shooting field so that the conditions would be as similar as possible to the actual competition.

Rather fittingly this is the view up Olympic Way (Wembley Way to the masses) to the new Wembley Stadium during the London 2012 Olympic Games. Just a few months earlier, in May, it looked like this and I have to say the Olympic livery really suited it.

This was the first event that I attended during the Olympics, and having been to Wembley before I was a little jealous of Fran and Beth who spent the afternoon at the Olympic Park watching hockey. Tickets were ordered well in advance of the event so we had no idea who we would be watching. As it turned out Senegal v Uruguay was followed by Team GB v UAE so it was great.

In the 36th minute of the nPower Championship Playoff Final at Wembley between West Ham and Blackpool Carlton Cole gave West Ham the lead. The goal was scored at the far end of the stadium in front of the Blackpool fans so Cole and his team mates ran down towards the delerious Hammers fans.

Our seats were in the lower tier and very near the Blackpool fans so the players massed just in front of where we were to celebrate the goal.

This is the West Stand, taken from Green Street.

My last trip to Upton Park and the Boleyn Ground to see my beloved West Ham United. We won against Watford 3 - 1.
