Here we have another panorama, this time of the exterior of the Boleyn Ground, better known as Upton Park, the home of West Ham United FC.
This was taken after our tour had finished, when the weather had cleared up - when we went in it was shrouded in mist.
When full it holds 35,303 although if the club is relegated from the Premier League in the next week or so it is unlikely to reach that capacity very often. This has been the club's home since 1904, but in August 2014 the plan is to relocate to the London 2012 Olympic Stadium ending 110 years of history.

Today's post is nothing more than a snap with my mobile phone (just to see how it would come out). It is England international goalkeeper Robert Green taking a goal kick for West Ham United during the second half of their 4-0 Football League Championship victory at Watford.
Goals from James Tomkins and Joey O'Brien gave the visitors a 2-0 lead which was doubled in the second half with goals from Carlton Cole and Scott Parker (his last goal before leaving the club for Spuds).

As the stadium filled (well our end did at least) for the nPower Championship Playoff Final at Wembley between West Ham and Blackpool they brought out these giant club crests that were flown with a huge balloon.
There was one for each team and they walked them around the respectibe ends so that all supporters could get a good view of them, before holding them by the tunnel for the players to emerge.

Yesterday afternoon West Ham made it to Wembley for the first time since the 1981 League Cup Final. To celebrate here is a shot of the Boleyn Ground, better known to many as Upton Park.
This was taken before the last home match, at home against Hull City. I arrived fairly early and made my way up to the uppermost seat at the far North end of the West (Alpari) stand. To our left we see the lower tier of the Trevor Brooking stand and at the far right the Bobby Moore stand. The smaller stand opposite is the East stand, known as the 'Chicken Run' due to the construction of it's old predecessor.

This is a 12 shot panorama of Lord's cricket ground set up for the archery competition at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
The shots were all taken handheld from our position in the grandstand and then stitched together using PTGui after the RAW files had been processed. It is a long panorama so the light changed a fair bit on the right hand end which left a bit of processing to get the sky as near a match as possible.

As added time begins in nPower Championship playoff semi final second leg against Cardiff City the West Ham fans inside the Boleyn Ground give a brief rendition of the well known terrace chant celebrating their impending trip to the home of football, Wembley.
Nicky Maynard had just scored West Ham's third goal of the match, and fifth of the tie, sealing the club's first trip to Wembley since 1981.

As the teams emerged for the nPower Championship Playoff Final at Wembley between West Ham and Blackpool the Hammers fans erupted into a cauldron of noise and waving flags.
Yesterday's image was of the fans behind the goal, this one is of those fans a little nearer to where I was sat along the side touchline.
