Got this Backdrop from The Bearded Guy, Shot on my platform on Black dragon and Edited on photoshop.
Just over two hours from Perth, this spot was my original plan last month—before the rising Milky Way core stole the show. This time, everything lined up perfectly: no wind, low humidity, clear skies… just a few too many creepy crawlers for comfort! ️🐜
This shot is a 5x3 panorama capturing the southern Milky Way standing tall in the center. Those faint smudges on the left? They’re the Magellanic Clouds—dwarf galaxies orbiting our Milky Way.

This photo was taken during my first KC-130 flight after the ramp was closed and over 30 minutes after the sun went down. I resorted to shooting from the side observation window which was quite scratched and hazy. I thought the image was still interesting though. Below the Harrier is the town of Brawley, California. To the right of the vertical stabilizer is El Centro. Above the tail and to the far left is the west edge of Mexicali, Mexico. NAF El Centro is visible roughly a third from the top and a third from the right of the photo.
