Photographed from the "West Highland Way" long distance footpath this portion of railtrack is part of the West Coast Highland railway line near Crianlarich with Beinn Odhar (translated as the dun or tan coloured mountain) in the distance.
The rail route, along with the West Highland Way path, is considered one of the most scenic in Scotland.
Popped down to West Bay in Dorset on Sunday morning prior to our first LCUK meeting of 2016. Was taken by the pre-dawn cloudscape, using the harbour mouth as foreground interest.
A little bit of breeze created some movement in the background trees on this long exposure shot. Spent a nice day with my son here and at Aysgarth Falls.

The sunset at West Lake (Hangzhou, China), with the world-famous, legendary Leifang Pagoda in the background, is a truly beautiful photo opportunity! As patient as most photographers are, sunset is pure stress for photographers. And when, as at this location, people linger on a photogenic jetty in the middle of the scene for too long (see next photo), it can lead to a unanimous "Go away now! Move on!" or something similar, as happened here that evening 😁.

The American Orient Express used to visit Denver regularly. On October 26, 2005, the luxury train was headed west over UP's Moffat Tunnel Subdivision at mile 11 in Arvada, Colorado (Note: I did not add any color saturation to this image.).
The West Mitten butte as seen from the Wildcat Trail in Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park near Kayenta, Arizona.
in the 20 years of taking pictures this was my first visit to take some of the West Pier.
Taken at sunrise I remember going on the pier as a child and wondering at how splendid it looked and not really being very impressed by the one down the Road. The ravages of neglect, weather and a suspicious fire have left this Grand lady decaying and rotting
where she stand's with what is left. of her..
