123, eyes on me! Justyn reads the story about the day's craft- dream catchers!

Note how we made a rope circle for all the kiddos to sit around. They are notoriously inept at forming and sitting in a circle!

Meet Noélla. When asked what she wants to be when she grows up, her face lights up. Noélla wants to follow in the footsteps of Esther Mbabazi, Rwanda's first female pilot, and take to the skies travelling and exploring new places! She wants to encourage other young girls to fight for their dreams too. Will you join us as we work to see children like Noélla receive the education that will make these dreams possible? Your donation will make a huge difference AND all gifts given before the end of 2018 will be doubled! Give today—LINK IN PROFILE

We went to the apple orchard with WellSpring this week.

We took a tour of their apple processing area, and also of the apple growing area, then we picked apples.

(Then we came home and made pie!)

We dyed playsilks with kool aid at winter camp today. It went very well, the results speak for themselves!

Year 5 had a very successful trip to the Wellspring Overnight Camp in Wadi El Beit last week. High ropes, Zip wires and other team building activities were enjoyed by all. Teachers were so proud to see so many of our students overcoming their initial fears and taking a risk. The three days of the camp were nonstop and, needless to say, the buses were much quieter on the journey home!

One of our favourite days on the Vision Trip is driving through Akagera National Park and spotting African wildlife. Last year the team saw a large herd of elephants, hippos, a crocodile, baboons, giraffes, zebras, and more. Come with us to discover what our 2019 team will find! ...he was so pleased with F's work after seeing his photo on my camera's playback screen.

“What makes me motivated to get up in the morning and continue serving with ACT (Association of Christian Teachers), is that I want to see my country changing in a way that makes myself, and everyone, know that #Rwanda is a good country to live in. Growing-up as a refugee in Uganda, I had no rights and teachers were verbally abusive to me. I need to live in a country where those things don’t take place. When I hear stories about #teachers who’ve been healed of their broken past and who are now making an impact in the lives of children, that’s sole driving force that keeps me going.” Fred Buyinza, founder of the Association of Christian Teachers (ACT) Rwanda. Stayed tuned over the next couple of weeks as we share Fred's story, his journey in starting ACT Rwanda, and about his connection with us! #education #transformation #healing #forgiveness #reconciliation
