Happy Family Day to our supporters in BC! Today, we're feeling motivated by the hard-working spirit of parents in school communities in #Rwanda. Through our Asset Based Community Development program (#ABCD), parents are learning how to come alongside local schools to support their child's education #MotivationMonday #MonMornMot #goal4 #qualityeducation

She has the sewing workshop inside the yurt, inside the warehouse. It's quite light and airy in there!

The weather was so lovely yesterday, we couldn't help spend all afternoon at the park. The kiddos here are working at a tray of bubble mix with some home-made bubble makers.

It was toooooo windy for their efforts though.

“As of March 18, 849 million children and students have been forced out of schools and universities in a total of 113 countries.” This includes kids in Rwanda. Schools are a focal point for community care, food programs, and overall social cohesion. Even when school closures are necessary, it is the most vulnerable that suffers. Through this, we cannot and will not stand by as the children we serve are hurting. We are in communication with Rwandan authorities about how we as a Wellspring community can step up in this time of crisis. We all have a role to play, and we will be keeping you up to date about how our role develops in the coming days and weeks as a response to this emergency. This article by @gpforeducation is a brilliant piece on exactly why global education cannot be forgot about in the midst of this crisis. Take a read and let us know your thoughts: ift.tt/2QzccsR
