This was my first chance to visit Toy Story Playland in the Walt Disney Studios, Paris. The area was a great addition to the theme park, and some of the detailing was also fantastic! I'll be looking at this area in more detail on my blog (df82.blogspot.com) over the next few months, but will try and share as many shots from here as possible!
The attractions are good, but they all have far too long wait times, due to the long wait for loading of guests. There's not much that could be done to improve this, apart from building an extra ride of each.
Thank you for looking!

Was trying to look beyond what was in the central image, so decided to look more at the shadows and reflections rather than a subject in and of itself. I really like the wide angle Tri-Elmar since it gives my kind of view, as well as the Summilux since they're both very sharp lenses and do well with B&W contrast. I made an (initial) mistake of using too warm of water for my usual semi-stand development, so on the fly changed to half the time and stand-only development. Was lucky that I was able to get reasonable images at all (and might try this again in the future). Thanks to those fellow flickeranians who continue to show their images and inspire the rest of us!
For a few years we had a lovely little bevy of quail, one male seemed to be the alpha bird with two large groupings and then abruptly they were gone. Now, five years later, we have a pair of lovely quail in the hedge appearing yesterday. They were so warmly welcomed in my heart and made me think of other things I have been missing. I am too far behind to imagine I will catch up! but, hello out there, I too have wandered back this way and hope to stay awhile.

These four guys are in the guard unit out of the Ankeny, Iowa Airport. They have just returned home from a six month tour in Bogota, Columbia. They had been gone for six months. I think originally six people went down on the plane. One person that was actually moving the plane that night came back three months ago. One got severely sick about two months ago and is still in the hospital or some type of care facilitly but may be home by now. Three are pilots and one (blue button down shirt) is their mechanic. They were very glad to be home as was their family very glad to see them. Thank you guys!!!!
DM&E 6091 and NS 7283 are in charge of a Canadian Pacific 473 train passing the town of Fairdale, IL.
This was my first visit to Fairdale for trains since an EF-4 took the lives of two fine ladies and demolished a large chunk of the town on April 9th, 2015. It was nice to hear lawn mowers and see activity around town; gave the atmosphere a bit of normalcy. However, "Normal" probably won't return to this town for many years, if ever.

...we hate you.
Entering Massachusetts onto Falls Road in Mount Washington.
The speed limit is not 15. As there is no speed zone authorized, exceeding 40 miles per hour for 1/4 mile is considered evidence of unreasonable and unlawful speed. People seem to drive 30 on the generally narrow road, slowing to 20 when meeting another car on the sharp curves.
The guardrail change at the state line connects scenic brown guardrail probably installed by NYSDOT with generic silver rail installed by the town of Mount Washington in a recent reconstruction project. The small town likely had no money in the budget to upgrade. It took a large grant from the state to allow rebuilding at all.

This is the sign that welcomes visitors and locals to Barangay Poblacion District II of Barugo, Leyte, Philippines.
I shot this when I visited Barugo for the first time. My friend who lives there invited me and a couple of my friends to celebrate their fiesta. There were only a limited number of people, which is why I was truly grateful.
