310/365 - "Welcome Home Dave"
Nifty Fifty #24
A neighbor came home from Madison today after receiving a heart transplant. He is in his early 40s. Somebody put one of these paper hearts on my front door step with a note and ribbon inside asking if I'd display it heart on a tree or post welcoming Dave back home and as a reminder of the importance of organ donations. People all over the neighborhood displayed these hearts tonight on their front doors, light posts, trees, lawn ornaments, etc. It was a really heart warming thing to see.
I personally do not know Dave. Many people in town know his wife who is the local librarian but I'm sure many people in town are like me. I walked around the neighborhood with my camera tonight in awe of this wonderful gesture.
I chose this particular photo of the electricity pole because it has the construction in the background. I've been very annoyed the past few months with this town and all of the construction going on, much of it right outside my front door. But seeing the kind gesture of these hearts displayed all over the neighborhood made me proud to be part of this community, despite my annoyances of late.

This delightful family was welcoming a returning loved one at the airport. A bit of their festive spirit rubbed off on me.
New Age dabblers insist that if they can just focus their mind on a huge house and a career as a movie star, they’ll “manifest” what they want. These methods try to force reality to cooperate with the small imagination of our personalities. It doesn’t work. A wayfinder’s Imagination doesn’t dominate reality. It feels into Oneness, falls in love with “what wants to happen,” and gives itself to the vision created by that love.
