Dublin, Wednesday 30th October 2013: Pictured at the The Web Summit 2013, RDS. Picture Conor McCabe Photography.
Every now and then sis in law (J) and I get together and cook. We both pick a few recipies we'd like to try, then do a lot of shopping, talking, laughing and see how far we get with the cooking.
J. bought me this lovely set of amuse-glasses and spoons together with an amuse-cookingbook, so ofcourse my first project was to make an amuse, to start off our evening meal.
As J. was going to show me how to make her amazingly fast, simple, and delicious sodabread, we decided to accompany it by a thick soup and a salad.
Wednesday's meal;
Amuse - Watercress/smoked trout mousse
Salad - Strawberries and spinach with a poppy and sesame seed dressing, sprinkled with feta cheese and almonds
Soup - Corn, kidneybean and chicken, spiced with hot pepper and sprinkled with cheese
Bread - Irish non-yeast sodabread

Judson Arts Wednesdays
The Judson Arts Wednesdays setup is simple: No proselytizing, no processed food, no cover charge; just free food, free art, and open space.
We believe that, just as food sustains the body, art sustains the soul.
We also believe that artists have the potential to change us by serving as our modern day prophets; they show us where we’ve been, they show us who we are, and they show us what we could become. We don’t take ourselves, the food, or the art too seriously, and that’s how it all thrives.
So, every Wednesday, Judson opens its doors to all and dissolves the barrier between artist and audience. Each free evening offers artists the time and space to tell their stories, and gives audiences the chance to eat, drink, and co-create with the artists and with one another.

That's a real life Victrola on my right, a bhodran at my shoulder. Went to my first ever Ash Wednesday service. It was a really neat experience.

Well this is my first waterfall Wednesday shot. I know its not from the Pacific Northwest but I always wanted to participate.
We were at this location just around noon which of course means that we had to shoot in harsh light. Well I knew bringing out the ND filter would be the only way I could get anything close to what I wanted. So I scouted some locations for this fall and I have yet to see any photos with this comp.
I really wish I had a wider lens but sadly I dont. So I started shooting this comp and realized that every photo was coming out with a strong golden tone to it. Well even changing the white balance it had a tad golden tone. So when editing this shot I figured I would keep it. I hope its not to gold for some people as I always feel like my monitor is off.
Well I hope everyones week is going well!
