At the west end of the Central Valley, near the western interchange with California 33 and California 152, a variety of power lines converge at the Los Banos substation located south of the California 152 expressway. In this area, power lines criss-cross in all directions, leading from various power production facilities to population centers. Four 500 kV power lines converge here - one from Moss Landing Power Generating Station, two from Path 15 (major north-south electricity transmission corridor), and one that was built by the Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) and was activated in 2004 to alleviate power congestion on Path 15 between Los Banos substation and Gates substation near California 198.

We were lucky enough to spot some fantastic action on our recent trip to Delhi which includes one of master piece for one of my favourite shed. Seen in video is first glimpse of Vadodara shed white stallion moving silently in transit with one of the oldest train (59 ½ years) of Western Railway, 19024 Firozpur - Mumbai Janta Express which is better known as Firozpur Janta Express hauled by Ghaziabad (GZB) WAP-5 # 30026 & dead Vadodara (BRC) WAP-7i # 30464. BRC shed official’s detached entire set of WAP-5 and WAP-7 at Vadodara Junction and attached another WAP-5 # 30035 of Ghaziabad (GZB) shed for journey towards to Mumbai.
With inclusion of WAP-5, WAG-9 and now WAP-7, Vadodara shed has become one and only shed hauling all type of 3 phase locomotives. As of now it has been assigned with four WAP-7s which are on its way to shed. Eagerly waiting to see these WAP-7s hauling some of the premium trains of Western Railway, like Mumbai Rajdhani and Ahmedabad Shatabdi.
