Cleaning up my hard drive after calibrating my monitor... Such a large hard disk, and still, it gets full. I'm probably the only one...

I shot this one last year in the late summer, but never came around to processing the scan.

This is one of the places of which I think: "Wish I actually lived here"...

Harman Phoenix 200 is one of the very few films developed from scratch (you can read more about it here). In its current iteration, it's a “quirky, experimental film [that] produces high-contrast images with strong, visible grain and punchy, vibrant colours”, and I will agree with Harman Photo's press release – it is a high-contrast film. Grain is not that bad, it has the look of expired film, but its sharpness is decidedly sub-par – it is not a sharp film!

I metered it at 125ASA, two-thirds of a stop below its rated 200ASA speed, and seeing the results, I won't even try to use it at the box speed. Halation effects are clearly present, but not as visible as on CineStill films.

Overall, I'm more than positively surprised, and I am happy with the results!

A forgotten film shot what feels like forever ago, but really was just early March. Shot on Ilford Delta 100 on my Hasselblad 500 C/M with an 80mm 2.8 CF lens. I was seduced by the color of the scene so much that I did not even develop this roll of film until yesterday. But I enjoy it quite a bit as a black and white. Developed for 7 minutes at 68 degrees in Kodak TMAX Developer. Scanned on an Epson Perfect 4870 Photo with VueScan software. Edited with Lightroom 5 and Photoshop CS6.

Strobist: Sunset with a LumoPro LP160 in a Joe McNally Lastolite softbox, camera left. It was probably about 1/2 power and 10-ish feet away from her. The camera settings were likely around 1/250 or 1/500 at f/11. 100 ISO. Triggered by Paul C. Buff Cybersyncs. Must shoot more b&w at sunset with a flash ...

A village near Dragonoš village, in the middle of the mountain range between Samobor, Žumberak and Jastrebarsko, the exact location is lost in time. Taken sometime in the summer of 1999, on a trek with my parents and brother, from Žitnica mountain lodge, some 3 km away. It was quite an interesting walk, I still remember it vividly, almost 20 years later.

Many people around here know about "The big Willow tree", where it stands, how huge it is, and everyone agrees that it is a very old tree. This is actually quite special, because it stands all alone by itself, in the midst of the fields. Vulnerable to fierce storms, and or lightning, it seems to be a tree of good luck...

A marker of time....
