Walter's House on 08 September 2010.
Walter was a close neighbour and lived here since the 1930's. he passed away just 6 months after his 100th birthday.
Walter loved classical music and had a massive collection of discs / tapes / cassettes and CD's.
For his 98th he treated himself to a new and expensive Quad hifi. He usually played his music at 100% volume, his huge speakers rocking on their bases.
Walter was a lovely man, and I miss him a lot.
Some minor repairs were all that were needed for the Ernie Ball Volume Pedal. Very solid and built to last. These have a minimum of internal parts. With maintenance and repairs these could last forever.
Ink tests at the back. This journal has weird paper: it liked purple inks, but basically no other colour worked, they just beaded, pooled and refused to dry.

Tipiṭaka Studies Reference 2007 (Pāḷi language in Roman script)
In 2006, a 20-volume Tipiṭaka Studies Reference, published by Dhamma Society in Bangkok, was unveiled at Tipiṭaka Technology Exhibition, Museum of Image Technology under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana, Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok.
Tipiṭaka Studies Reference was later published in a 40-volume set on the occasion of the 84th Birthday Anniversary of Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana, who is the Royal Tipitaka Patron and Honorary President of Tipiṭaka Presentation Worldwide.
One of the most important features of this reference is the presentation of all the variant readings of the Pāḷi text in 7 separated volumes which were published for the first time in Roman script for easy research in textual studies.
In 2007, an additional 20 volumes were added to this reference collection and was respectfully presented as a special 40-volume gift to HRH Princess Galyani Vadhana on her 84th Birthday Anniversary by the Constitutional Court of Thailand, the only institution in the country which received the World Tipiṭaka Edition as a royal gift from the Princess in 2005.
On 10th October the Tipiṭaka Studies Reference was unveiled at Frankfurt Book Fair 2007, Republic of Germany. On October 12 this collection together with the 40-volume World Tipiṭaka Edition in Roman script were presented as a Gift of Wisdom and Peace to the President of the International Court of Justice to be kept at " The Peace Palace" at International Court of Justice, the Hague, Kingdom of Netherlands.

หนังสือพระไตรปิำฎกศึกษาอ้างอิง อักษรโรมัน จัดทำ์ขึ้นตามพระปรารภในสมเด็จพระเจ้าพี่นางเธอ เจ้าฟ้ากัลยาณิวัฒนา กรมหลวงนราธิวาสราชนครินทร์ และจัดพิมพ์โดยกองทุนสนทนาธัมม์นำสุขฯ ในพระสังฆราชูปถัมภ์ฯ เป็นครั้งแรกในปี พ.ศ. 2549 เป็นชุด 20 เล่ม โดยได้จัดแสดงเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของนิทรรศการเทคโนโลยีพระไตรปิฎก ณ พิพิธภัณฑ์เทคโนโลยีทางภาพ คณะวิทยาศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาิวิทยาลัย
ต่อมาในปี พ.ศ. 2550 จึงได้พิมพ์เป็นชุดพิเศษ 40 เล่ม เนื่องในวโรกาสที่สมเด็จกรมหลวงฯ ทรงเจริญพระชนมายุ 84 พรรษา โดยจัดพิมพ์เป็นพิเศษด้วยระบบดิจิตอลสี เป็นชุดแรกของประเทศไทย และได้นำขึ้นน้อมเกล้าฯ ถวาย โดยศาลรัฐธรรมนูญแห่งราชอาณาจักรไทย ในฐานะที่ศาลรัฐธรรมนูญได้รับพระกรุณาธิคุณได้รับพระราชทานพระไตรปิฎกสากล อักษรโรมัน เป็นสถาบันแรกในประเทศ และเป็นการเจริญรอยตามพระราชประสงค์ที่จะเผยแผ่การศึกษาพระไตรปิฎกสากลให้แพร่หลาย
ลักษณะสำคัญของหนังสืออ้างอิงชุดนี้ คือ การจัดพิมพ์ข้อมูล "คำต่าง" ของศัพท์ในพระไตรปิฎกบาฬี ซึ่งได้จัดพิมพ์แยกเป็นประเภท และพิมพ์แยกเป็นเล่ม จำนวน 7 เล่ม เพื่อสะดวกต่อการศึกษาของนักวิชาการและผู้สนใจทั่วไป อันเป็นการจัดพิมพ์เป็นครั้งแรกเพื่อใช้ในการศึกษาอ้างอิงด้วยอักษรโรมัน
ในปีเดียวกันนี้ ได้โปรดให้กระทรวงพาณิชย์นำไปจัดแสดง ณ มหกรรมหนังสือโลก นครแฟรงค์เฟริท ประเทศเยอมันนี ในฐานะผลงาน "ภูมิปัญญาไทยสากล"
ในเดือนตุลาคม ได้โปรดเกล้าฯ ให้ประธานศาลฎีกาแห่งราชอาณาจักรไทย ผู้ดำรงตำแหน่งศาลรัฐธรรมนูญแห่งราชอาณาจักรไทย นำหนังสืออ้างอิงชุดนี้ไปพระราชทานพร้อมกับพระไตรปิฎกสากล อักษรโรมัน ชุด 40 เล่ม แก่ศาลยุติธรรมระหว่างประเทศ ณ กรุงเฮก ราชอาณาจักรเนเธอร์แลนด์ เพื่อเฉลิมพระเกียรติพระบาทมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวในระดับนานาชาติ และในเดือนธันวาคม ได้พระราชทานพร้อมกับพระไตรปิำกสากล อักษรโมัน ชุด 40 เ่ล่ม แก่ประธานศาลฎีกา ประดิษฐาน ณ ศาลฎีกาแห่งราชอาณาจักรไทย เพื่อเฉลิมพระเกียรติพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวในราชอาณาจักรไทย
