Panorama from Petroglyphs National Monument near Albuquerque, NM

scary looking, but those volcanic rocks break the waves

it's so cool to see these natural baths that form in the middle of the ocean. it does get dangerous in high tides though. this was the only "pool" that we could get into w/out getting beat around.

Taken on a trip to Dublin and Northern Ireland with friends in 2009.

The weather was strong - with days where the wind was over 30m/s but never the less the Icelandic beauty was on full display. These images are from a brief roadtrip along the South Coast.

Formations by lava flowing through this canyon

it was crazy to see how quickly this pool filled up with one big wave

Volanic formation caused when lava cracks and cools, giving it the appearance of a flower.

we were the only people in this area! got kind of scary when big waves came in, but surreal and amazing!

took me a long time to get the balls to go out there

all we knew was that it was a 600 yd walk on these lava rocks to get to the secret lava pools, but half of the time was spent asking, "is this it??"
