Assignment 3: Visual Analogy—Radio station
Part 1:
Choose a favorite radio station. While listening to the music, try to determine how you feel when listening to the music genre that is primarily played. Make a list of those feelings. Present them to the class in a creative way that is NOT an ad.
Find or make visual equivalents of those feelings for your chosen radio station. Present them to the class in a creative way that is NOT an ad.
Due October 12
Part 2:
Create an outdoor board for the radio station based on the starting point of:
“this music makes you feel like”.
(This is not the copy, it’s a point of departure.)
Produce multiple ideas that use only a simple visual from your list or one to five words using the expressive typography principles presented in the textbook as well as what you learned in your freshman year. Include the Radio station logo/station number.
Size and medium: Outdoor board. Formats will be discussed in class.
