Label reads:" 1981 EDEN VALLEY RHINE RIESLING This wine typifiies the philosophy of Krondorf Winemakers Grant Burge and Ian Wilson which is to produce high quality table wines exhibiting distinct area and varietal Characteristics Each year only the highest quality Rhine Riesling grapes from the Eden Valley area are selected to produce this wine. The high altitude of the Eden district ensures cooler ripening conditions giving wines of elegance and finesse. Using controlled temperature techniques the winemakers were careful to capture maxium flavour and aroma from the grape variety. The wine was bottled in July 1981 and has been held in the cool Krondorf Cellars allowing it to settle and mature prior to release It shows elegance of style typical of the Eden Valley region and will continue to improve with further bottle maturation for two to three years.

Meticulous personal evaluation of vineyard sites, barrels and wine parcels lies at the heart of all fine wines. Even great single-vineyard wines are usually a "blend" of wine parcels, harvested and handled separately to produce a full flavoured and satisfying wine.

'As a winemaker, I work at the art of selecting and combining elements to hand-craft the best wine possible. This Chardonnay is from the cool climate region of Orange in N.S.W. The wine is golden green in colour and the aroma shows tropical and citrus with subtle creamy tones.
