Adagio in G Minor | Antonio Albinoni
"It was many and many a year ago,
In a kingdom by the sea,
That a maiden there lived whom you may know
By the name of Annabel Lee;
And this maiden she lived with no other thought
Than to love and be loved by me."
Thank you Domi for the inspiration

- Are you sure dad?
- Forget it son. It's just that...

Visual communication in elephants refers to expressions, postures, displays or movement of ears, jaws, trunk and the like, and how elephants are able to use their sense of sight to determine what message the signaller is trying to portray.
Head and trunk postures can be used for different types of communication such as communication between individuals but also between rivals to display threats.
These visual signals can be of either high or low intensity; at low intensity the animal stands tall, but at high intensity i.e. during threat, the animal moves forward towards the enemy lifting its ears and extending its trunk forward. The "forward trunk swish" signal is used towards a smaller rival where the trunk is rolled up and is suddenly lashed forward.
To signal dominance, the elephant will appear taller, with its head high above its shoulders and ears spread wide. A subordinate elephant appears the opposite, with its ears kept back and its head lying low. the trunk is thus an important aspect in visual communication.
Personal work. I prefer the ivory colour achieved with the stock in this one over most as it is grained and worn yet not distracting. I am beginning to get more confident with retaining & adding colour to collage so hopefully more colour based works soon.

COCA-COLA SIDE OF LIFE ART REMIX
Since its early days, Coca-Cola has played an eminent role in the visual culture of several generations.
By continually challenging artists and agencies to create images for its wide range of communication, Coca-Cola also functioned as a catalyst for creative expressions, right ideas at the right time…
The original Coca-Cola illustrations were drawn by masters as Haddon Sundblom or Gil Elvgren with their loving, magical touch. Some of the early Coke images are playful, romantic, cartoony, imaginative; others are trendy and stylized but they are always signs of their times.
The concept of the Remix project is simple. Every selected artist makes a “Coke Side of Life” Remix of historic Coca-Cola visuals and creates a new visual inspired by the brand and its soul, a thematic interpretation.
