Lines twist, light breaks, and order dissolves.
Between gold and blue, reality folds in on itself — a beautiful collapse
Nothing stays forever. The sun will set, the tide will rise, the golden light will fade. Even the stillest moments are always moving — slipping quietly into memory. But that is the gift of nature: it teaches us to pause, to feel, to see. To hold beauty, not by keeping it, but by carrying it within us. Beneath the golden silence, we are reminded — everything passes, and that is why this moment matters.
[EN] The Nueva Carrara Lookout
The Nueva Carrara Lookout, located in the Maldonado department just a few minutes from Pan de Azúcar, is a panoramic viewpoint built over former marble and limestone quarries. From its platforms—some featuring glass floors and structures cantilevered over the edge—visitors can gaze upon a striking turquoise lake formed by water accumulated in the excavation, its vivid color created by the minerals in the stone.
The site seamlessly blends industrial history with the rolling landscape of the Sierras: marble from this area was used in the construction of Uruguay’s Legislative Palace and other landmark national buildings. Today, it serves as a free public lookout designed for safe sightseeing and photography. It is important to note that descending into the quarry or swimming is strictly prohibited, as the lake is extremely deep and located within a delicate geological environment.
In the hush of the highlands, where the mist weaves its quiet hymn across the ridges—silence becomes visible.
When the sea falls silent,
I gaze into the hush of glass.
Not a reflection—
but a shore
where shadows move
before I do.

PAURA
e senza soli,
nella notte oscura, quella buia e tempestosa,
come al solito,
sotto l'amaca, che la pioggia bagna
nuda viene una paura
che corre nell'alba,
e sembra ridere.
La paura che confonde
tenendomi
vicino al tuo collo,
le carezze fredde,
il respiro e la tua pelle,
ad occhi aperti.
Un diavolo grigio, puzzolente
legge i miei versi,
mentre sei nella stanza da sola.

What we call the beginning is often the end
And to make an end is to make a beginning.
The end is where we start from.
T.S. Eliot, Four Quartets
