Label reads:"Chateau Tahbilk 1836 The Golbourn first crossed by Major Mitchell onto what is now Chateau Tahbilk 1840 Area taken up as part of "O.C.P." Grazing Lease. 1860 Flotation of Company to plant vineyard, and erect the cellars with material taken from property. 1875"New Cellars" excavated and vineyards extended. 1879 Became known as as Chateau Tahbilk. 1890 Phylloxera reduced vineyard from 360 to 130 acres. 1948 Remodelling of fermenting cellar - retaining original old vats and presses 1952 Commenced exporting to the United Kingdom and other countries. 1953 Tahbilk Marsanne served at a luncheon for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 11 at Westminster Hall. 1959 Clasified by National Trust of Australia (Vic.) 1960 Centenary Celebration - the Prime Minister of Australia placed two bottles of 1960 vintage in a cavity of the cellar wall - and indicated that these bottle were" not to be distrurbed until 24th September 2060" 1963 Tahbilk Marsanne and Riesling served to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 11 during the Royal visit to Australia. 1964 Extension of Vineyards and further remodelling of fermenting cellars."
