People watching is what I like to do. But shooting pictures in the street elevates that experience. People go about their own ways. They see me yet they do not really see me. I feel like I am a ghost who is insignificant -- I have no value, no impact, no influence ... I am just an observer. I am fine with that. Because people are people.

Uitprobeersel, op een kladblaadje, voor een nieuw project, om aandacht te geven en te vragen voor de herdenking van het afschaffen van de slavernij door Nederland in 1863. Waarna toch nog tot 1873 dwanarbeid bleef bestaan. Daarom eigenlijk pas in 1873.
