The focal point of this black and white picture is the bright white roof. The dark shadow underneath the white draws the eyes down, outlining the barn. The different values from the horizontal line shaping the boards and the gray lines shaping the window moves the eyes towards a cluster of organic shapes. These shapes on top of the white roof lead the eyes to the right of the picture downward to many other organic shapes. Until eventually the viewers eye almost feels like it jumps backwards because of the thick up close tree at the left of the page. There is a variety of textures in this picture. Starting at the background the trees are very blurred, appearing as calm. The very shiny white barn roof looks very smooth along with the barn wood although still has a rough look to it because of the darker color shades within. Both of the trees in the picture show different texture. The one on the right is very detailed, with many value changes not only from the light side on the left to dark on the right but within the tree itself. Whereas the tree on the right side has one value change that has the left side dark to gray on the right side. There are also many different leaves, that are all different size, shape and color. At the top of the picture the leaves are in small clusters. In these cluster it's hard to tell how many are in each one. Moving down the right side of the picture the leave begin to become more detailed and also change shape. At the bottom of the picture they are hanging on branches very differently compared to leaves above them along with differently shaped. The leaves farthest away in the background are separated by value and appear to be soft edged. The grass in front of the barn shows another texture because it's more or less the same shade of gray with white specks throughout the area. As a whole this picture is more variety then unity. The amount of texture, size, shape and color supports variety. The fact that most of the picture has the same concept of trees and leave shows it unity. As a whole the picture has many visual textures that shows variety that balances to be a composition.

I hated my one that I did in the mid semester break so I completely re did it with a new sentence. I was going to add violets are blue but just editing creating that font took way too long
This shot might be an example of an overhead view. If used in a film, the camera could pan over and show this shot. Maybe in a club or resteraunt setting to give the viewer a focus of the chairs and table.
I am using slide film to explore the phrase 'visual poetry'. The is part of my Final Major Project for Art Foundation. I am hoping to use these images for a slide installation as my final outcome.
