Un any més ens trobem davant l'Exposició Col·lectiva d'artistes del Prat i ja en sumem 37 edicions! Trenta-set anys què El Prat ha vist com multitud de veïnes i veïns acudien a la sala d'art del municipi per mostrar, fer pública i compartir, una petita part dels resultats de cada un dels processos artÃstics en què han estat immersos amb diverses intensitats i compromisos, amb maneres molt diferents d'entendre i de viure la prà ctica artÃstica però amb un interès comú en la creació visual i les expressions plà stiques.
Aquesta mostra està fortament vinculada des dels seus inicis a l'activitat de l'Escola de dibuix, fins que prèn la forma actual a partir de 1995 en què es fusiona amb l'Exposició Col·lectiva de Joves Artistes del Prat, amb la coorganització de l'Ajuntament i l'Associació d'Amics de l'Art del Prat i des d'una perspectiva de criteris oberts en què hi poden participar tot tipus d'artistes visuals i plà stics.
L'exposició es viu anualment com una celebració col·lectiva de les arts, una acció de participació i cultura popular, i s'ha transformat darrerament en una de les activitats amb més afluència d'una sala d'art que, al marge d'aquesta col·lectiva, s'ha orientat des de fa anys cap a un programa clarament compromès amb la creació d'avantguarda, l'art contemporani i les prà ctiques artÃstiques més emergents.
Originally I was going to have a theme series of my cat Sebastian, but as I attempted to take pictures of him, I realized it was going to be impossible. So I decided to take pictures of Bubby and Sebastian showing their love for each other.
+ I love my cats so much so I love all pictures of them by default. I like my different uses of techniques we've learned. (Angle of view, color, macro, shallow depth of field, framing, etc.)
- The clarity/lighting could have been better in a couple of the pictures.
