This young Tiger decided to explore a little close to the house. After some modelling I moved him a little. These blokes have very toxic venom but they don't want to harm people and this one was 300mm or so long.
I have to laugh at this sketch as I really did not realized just how fast these durn critters moved until I went to sketch them–they nearly galloped past me! LOL!

Shichi-go-san (the seven-five-three festival) is a traditional Japanese event to celebrate children's growth and pray for their future health and well-being.
Parents with boys of five, girls of seven and either boys or girls of three dress their children in best clothes and take them to shrines where they pray for their children's future.
Generally, girls put on beautiful Kimono, but my daughter was in the suit.
She will have commemorative pictures of her in Kimono taken at photo studios.

New York/Dallas quartet Forq visited the Valencia campus to give a clinic to our graduate students as well as perform some tunes from their their eponymous debut album.
Made up of Lost Tribe founder Adam Rogers on guitar (Michael Brecker, Chris Potter, Norah Jones, Joe Jackson, Cassandra Wilson, Paul Simon) Rudder founder Henry Hey on keyboards (Jeff “Tain” Watts, Joe Locke, Chris Botti, Bill Bruford, Seamus Blake, David Bowie, Empire of the Sun), Snarky Puppy founder and Grammy Award-winner Michael League on bass (Kirk Franklin, Wayne Krantz/Ari Hoenig Quartet, Lalah Hathaway), and Jason “JT” Thomas on drums (Roy Hargrove’s RH Factor, Marcus Miller, D’Angelo), Forq is an all-star ensemble of sorts - but with the spirit and cohesiveness of a garage band.

Greenhouse Project, North Eastern Province Girls Secondary School, Garissa, North Eastern Kenya. Program of the Kenyan Red Cross. Creates greenhouses to provide nutritious fruits and vegetables for students, teach them how to grow, and eventually sell produce to earn a small income for the school. Currently growing tomatoes, capsicum, sweet melon and maize.
