Happy Bench Monday!
On 9 October, fans of all ages took a pew next to Paddington as STUDIOCANAL unveiled a statue of the marmalade loving bear in Edinburgh.
Launched as part of Paddington Visits, a trail of Paddington Bear statues across the UK and Ireland to celebrate the forthcoming release of PADDINGTON IN PERU, arriving in cinemas on 8 November, Paddington took a seat on a bench in St Andrew Square Garden and was immediately embraced by the local community.
With passersby stopping for selfies, Edinburgh is one of 23 locations taking part in Paddington Visits, a trail which will see the special statues appearing in cities, towns, and beauty spots all over the UK and Ireland.
Went off to Bushy Park yesterday to celebrate my birthday the day before:
Not much you can do in these Covid days... so a visit to
my favourite park was lovely

It took a few years, but Kansas City Southern and Canadian Pacific have become one.
Back in 2009, the KCS business train came to Chicago to look things over. It arrived and flipped directions at A5 to spend the night in Bensenville.
The weather was dismal but the day was brightened by the sight of a matched KCS Office Car Special.

You're only here for a short visit. Don't hurry, don't worry. And be sure to smell the flowers along the way.

The weather was perfect and the wildlife was very active. The most animals I have ever seen in this area.
This riot of Kookaburras made a noisy visit this morning. Yes riot is the collective noun for a group of Kookaburras, couldn't think of a better name. Anyway they broke the monotony of the lockdown.
Une charmante visite sur cette belle orchis pyramidale, sur une pelouse préservée du Conservatoire des Ardennes.

Before going to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park this past autumn, I came across an article on "Little Visited Areas of the Great Smoky Mountains". It mentioned several trails that saw few visitors and a few roads that had few cars. On one of those roads, as I was going slowly around a curve, I saw this creek under a canopy of trees.

MY B&W photography :
Abends an der Promenade entlang der Motlawa. Die rekonstruierte Altstadt von Danzig, zumindest in einigen Teilen kann uns in die zeit der Hanse versetzen. Die alten Häuser und das Krantor spiegeln sich nicht nur im Wasser, sondern spiegeln auch die damalige Zeit.
Danzig als eine der Perlen der Ostsee reicht sich somit an einige andere Hansestädte entlang der Küste.
Evening on the promenade along the Motlawa. The reconstructed old town of Gdansk, at least in some parts, can take us back to the time of the Hanseatic League. The old houses and the Crane Gate are not only reflected in the water, but also mirror the times.
As one of the pearls of the Baltic Sea, Gdansk thus joins several other Hanseatic cities along the coast.
Wright-Locke Farm has an array of bee hives near the flower field, so the blossoms are often abuzz. I'll have to try some of their honey!
