P52-assignment 2: Vision Statement
...got me thinking a lot about my vision and my style of shooting. What kind of images do I like? Is there a cohesiveness to my images?I do know that I have become much more particular about everything that is included and not included in my images. I now create my images. I used to wander around looking for something cool to shoot, now I make my images happen. I must admit though, that I am still not seeing my style. I know that I am getting better at getting my ideas to look like I want them to in my images. I'm hoping that this year will lead me closer to developing my own personal style.

My concept of a view through night vision goggles - high contrast, low key yet blown highlights and soft focus
Shot number 6 form the PX600 film, and shot number 1 for 'Roid Week 2010.
This was an attempt to recreate a shot Ive done in the Dartford Tunnel before on both my Canon 400d and my Holga 120N.
I obviously wasnt going to get the blur of movement from a long bulb shutter so I just hit and hoped. It came out OK, nothing special but OK.

Photographers must develop awareness of the quality of light. I love shooting landscapes and the quality of light is every bit as important as the subject when shooting scenics. Sometimes the light and its palette in the sky is all the subject needed. Tonight was one of those nights, and, while sitting at home just before dinner, I saw a red glow develop in the eastern sky. A quick glance to the west confirmed that the sun was painting the clouds, so off to the closest open field I drove, and capturd the beauty of a lovely humid November sunset.
