366/2020 - 2020 Vision ~ 251/366
From our kitchen window we can see a 'mighty' oak tree in a far neighbour's garden. We have loved watching it change throughout the seasons and in different lights. It must be at least 100 years old and today we were greeted by the whine of a chain-saw as a tree surgeon began to cut the branches down.
At the time of uploading this photo the job is incomplete and we don't yet know whether this is a pollarding of the tree or complete removal. I'm hoping that the tree will still be there tomorrow, even in its reduced state. If not I fear my heart will break for this wonderful old tree.
Stay safe and well everyone.
Thank you to everyone who pauses long enough to look at my photo. Any comments or Faves are very much appreciated

Sticking with the Muppets theme, but heading 2500 miles east, here's the WDW original version of this attraction. While to actual attraction (movie) is the same, the surrounding area is quite different. At DCA, the theater is tucked back in a corner without much Muppets themeing. WDW is quite different with this large Muppets square and the Stage 1 Company Store. I've heard that a much larger Muppets presence was planned, but never materialized.
In contrast to some of the other 3D films throughout the parks, I think this one has held up the best. With the exception of the end scene with the fire truck crashing through the theater and exposing the guests outside, the story and characters have held up well. Maybe it's just nostalgia, but I hope they leave this one alone for another 20 years!

The Christmas tree and lights in Jamison Square in NW Portland. This shot was directly inspired by Immortal Thrill-Seeker's shot, which I guess was indirectly inspired by one of mine. I love the give and take of Flickr. So any of you who enjoy this photo, stop by Patrick's stream and check out his visions of this same square. Same location, two different minds, a world of photography just waiting to happen.
This was taken on a Hasselblad 500C and was probably about a 30 second exposure. While the camera was exposing I racked the lens from in focus to way out of focus. What can I say, I wanted to double expose, but could not figure out a way to do it with the Hasselblad, had to settle with racking the focus instead. ;-) It's all fun, as it should be.
