Ska, Rocksteady, Reggae and Soundsystem are Jamaica's biggest cultural exports. Reggae Music and it's sub musical genres Dancehall and Dub are ever finding new ground in Europe and other parts of the world. It is time to celebrate the rich narratives and larger that life characters that made this powerful music; names like Lee Stratch Pery, Bob Marley, Burning Spear, Trojan, Kilimanjaro, Studio One, Yellowman, Big Youth are not just important names but iconic brands recognized globally. Reggae is played in all corners of the world from South Africa to Japan from Rio to Berlin. This is the time to big Up all the pioneers that made this incredible music possible. This music has inspired millions and spawned many other popular global music such as Rap, Electronica Dubstep etc. The respect for Reggae is ever growing as a new generation embrace our culture and make it their own. What would be more fitting than to some day in the future see the construction of an iconic structure to celebrate the wonderful music in the land and city of it's invention. Let us begin to dream big.

To me, at least, it looks like a woman's face, with the light coming down towards her eyes.
Julian of Norwich was born late (probably November) in the year 1342. Wikipedia gives her an exact date of birth of November 8th, but I do not know if that is correct.

l'imbrunire, la stradina buia, l'eco dei passi sul un pavimentato che d'improvviso si trasforma, ondeggia, serpeggia, si stringe, l'impressione di case che si abbassano, si piegano inghiottendoti ad inbuto in un vicolo senza fine ne inizio; poi una delle prime luci della sera che si accende in un prossimo portone, accolta come una perfetta via di fuga, una speranza, un'incubo che finisce con un sussulto ed un sollievo..perchè il sogno è mio e può finire solo così..o forse no?...o forse non è di nessuno, o lo è di tutti...come quando lo siamo, spettatori davanti all'Urlo di Munch, partecipanti attivi di senzazioni, di un luogo così strano ma ordinario, reale o meno, che ti appartiene o non, che sembra uscito da una favola nera, un luogo onirico che scopri un giorno così reale, a cui basta solo un tratto di penna, una piccola aggiunta in punta di pennello, anche solo un click, per farlo diventare vivo, senza neanche tanta immaginazione...

the dusk, a dark little street, the echo of footsteps on a paved that suddenly it transforms, it ripples, it winds, tightens, the impression of houses that go lower, folds up on you, swallowing you like into a funnel in an alley without end or a beginning; then, one of the first lights of the evening that light up in a next front door, welcomed as a perfect escape route, a hope, a nightmare that ends with a wince and a relief..because the dream is mine and can't end differently..or maybe not?...maybe it's of nobody, or it's of everybody...as when we are, spectators in front of "the Cry" by Munch, active participants of such a strange place but ordinary, real or not, that belongs to you or not, that seems escape from a black fable, a place dreamlike that you discover one day so real, that you need only a touch, a hint in head's paintbrush, maybe a shot, to make it alive, even without a large amount of imagination...
